RGV South Texas Karate is inviting dads and their children to experience karate together through fun partner drills, karate basics, confidence-building activities, and family bonding.

🥋🏆 Texas Police Games Success! 🏆🥋

This Monday morning, Sensei Gonzalez had the honor of competing at the Texas Police Games in South Padre Island.

Competing in Kata, Kobudo, and Kumite, Sensei was blessed to bring home:

🥇 Gold Medal – Kata
🥇 Gold Medal – Kobudo
🥉 Bronze Medal – Kumite

These accomplishments are not the result of one person alone. They are the product of an incredible team, family, and dojo community.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped me prepare for this competition:

🦁 Our Little Lions for keeping me agile, energetic, and always on my toes.

🥋 Our Youth Karate Students for helping me stay focused and reminding me every day why we train.

👊 Our Adult Class for your hard work, dedication, and countless hours of training throughout my competition preparation.

❤️ Most importantly, a huge thank you to my wife and children for the early morning workouts, the sacrifices, the encouragement, and for always believing in me—even on the days when training was difficult.

This achievement belongs to all of us. Every class, every repetition, every correction, every early morning, and every drop of sweat helped make this possible.

At Rio Grande Valley South Texas Karate, we often say that practice makes permanent. These medals are a reflection of the dedication and commitment of our entire dojo family.

Today we want to recognize and thank all of the incredible moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who support our students every single week.

Thank you for the early mornings, busy evenings, long drives, tied belts, packed water bottles, encouragement after tough classes, and for believing in your children even when they doubt themselves.
