All of the stages are set up for Saturday. Come out and shoot with us! It is usually a small turnout, so we get a lot of shooting done. We shoot side matches until we are done with not real time limit, and then go on to the Main Match. The main match is 4 stages that are pretty easy. No rushing and we are still usually done my 1230 at the latest. This is going to me the last match of the year. There was one in September scheduled, but that interfered with Shakeys Gulch, which is a must attend match.

July was a smooth match. We only had four shooters, but for the first time that I can remember all shooters were clean with no misses. We shot side matches until we were tired, and then we went on to the main match.
The finishing order was Rover, Woody Tinker, Dog Bite and Ashley Kid.
Next match will be August 22nd. Come out and join us!
I was notified that the September match was during the same time as the Shakey's Gulch match at Bristol.
Shakeys is one of the best matches in the Midwest, if not the entire USA, and I think that all of the shooters that usually come out to shoot here are going to be up there, so I will not be having a match in September, making the August match the last match of the year.

Stages are all set up for Saturday. Once again, if you want to shoot a 1911, I will do a Wild Bunch category. 1911 for side match as well, along with all of the others.
Side matches are
Speed rifle, pistol, and shotgun.
Pocket Pistol
Derringer
22 Combo

If there is something else that you want for Side Matches, bring it out and we will set something up.

First shot goes downrange at 0900. We will shoot the main match when all of the side matches are completed. Four main stages.

Saturday was a good match. We had the usual dependable 5 show up. Woody Tinker, Truckee, Rover, Dog Bite, and Ashley Kid. A special shout out to Truckee who comes all the way down from Michigan to shoot with us and stay after to help put the stuff away.
The great thing about 5 shooters is that we can shoot Side Matches until we are tired. We ended up shooting Speed Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun as well as .22 combo, Pocket Pistol, and Derringer. As an extra, we have added a 1911 side match. It looks like Truckee took the Speed Pistol with a 6.84. Woody Tinker took the Speed Rifle with a 5.82. Rover beat Dog Bite in the Speed Shotgun 11.49 to 11.50. Dog Bite took the .22 Combo with a 14.26. Dog Bite also took the Pocket Pistol (3.61) and Derringer (11.38). Truckee rounded out the Side Matches with a 21.30 in the 1911 Side Match which was 20 rounds. He also had 3 misses taking the time up to 36.30, but he looked fast doing it.
The main match overall was won by Truckee with Woody Tinker winning the Cattle Baron category, rover winning the Elder Statesman and Truckee the loan shooter in the newly implemented Wild Bunch category.

It looks like Saturday will be a very nice day. Should be done by 1230 or 1, so it should not get above the mid 70's with the temps.
We are going to have 4 stages, and plenty of side matches, including 1911 side match.
If you want to use the 1911 for the main match, I will add a Wild Bunch category.
Come out and have some fun Saturday.

Saturday was a rainy day. We could have still shot the match, but only one person showed up, so we didn't shoot.
Next month we will try again. I am also looking at having a 1911 side match, and also allowing a 1911 category for the main match.
If you do bring a 1911, make sure that it is lead bullets, no jacketed bullets.

Stages are all set up for Saturday. If you have nothing going on this Memorial Day weekend, come out and join us. We will be shooting four stages along with side matches.
Side matches are .22 combo, pocket pistol, derringer, speed rifle, speed pistol, and speed shotgun.
We should be done by 1 or 130, so it should be a quick and easy match.

Well, I came over here expecting to add to my post from the results of the first match to see that it was not here. I don't know what happened, but let's try it again.
The 1st match was a lot of fun. We had 5 people show up, and had a lot of shooting.
First off was the side matches. We shot almost everything. We had .22, speed rifle, pistol and shotgun, and we had pocket pistol and derringer.
The main match was 4 stages since most of us are a little bit older now and the stamina is lacking..
We were finished before one. When the results were tallied, Woody Tinker was the overall winner.
I will get the final scores posted again when I get back in town Sunday.

Alright! Ready to try this again. Cowboy Action match Saturday. 4 stages of fun. We will also do .22 side match, Speed pistol, shotgun, and rifle. I think that I will even set up pocket pistol and derringer.
when you arrive, just come on down to the stages. I will be doing registration down there. I am kind of rusty, but will do my best. I am not shooting, I am going to concentrate on running the match.
I hope to see you there! Registration starts at 0830, side matches at 0900, main match whenever everybody is done with the side matches.

Well, I am healthy again. I am going to schedule matches for this year. This is the schedule. I really look forward to it again. Let's see how my new knees work.
