Shelby County Speedway 8-1

Heat Race: 1st 👉 1st

Feature: 1st 👉 3rd

We gave it our all last night! Really wanted to get one more before leaving for training, but we came up a little short. Led a little less than half the race until a yellow came out for a cell phone being on the track, which bundled everyone back up.

Cell phone or not, it was a matter of time before I knew I’d see 76 and 36 on the leaderboard behind me!

Congrats to Zach Zeitner on the win! It was fun racing my buddy Drew too while it lasted.

There are a lot of guys that keep grinding just to get one win. Really, with the competition we have out there at Harlan, it’s very humbling to have two wins. Can’t say thank you enough to everyone that has helped through the years. From sponsors, to other racers, to my crew, thank you. Hopefully we’re not done for this year, but we’ll let everyone know!

Happy early birthday to my brothers as well! Big 21 on Monday.

Have been really behind on posting.

We’ve gone back to the drawing board and put the car back to something that should be good.

Our last race at Norfolk doesn’t look good on paper, but I was happy with direction we’re going. We started near the back, and after a night full of hammer down racing with no passing, finished at the back. Was tired of running follow the leader so I tried high and drove her to the back.

❗️Our next race is this Saturday at Shelby County Speedway. It’s going to be my last race for a while, as pilot training is bringing me away from Nebraska. We’ll update everyone on the hit and miss races we get to!

Coulda, shoulda at Shelby County Speedway Harlan, Iowa

Started 3rd and eventually got to first, before falling back to third, right as another caution came out. Definitely a caution filled race. Needed to restart on the inside and then jump to the outside.

❗️Another restart led to a slider for the lead right in front of me. The leader had to get on the brakes and spun out, leaving us with nowhere to go. I got hit on the right side and thought it was going to be ugly. Pulled in the hotpit to evaluate (thinking suspension had to be tore up) and to pull the body back.

Unfortunately after going to the hot pit, you don’t get your spot back. Wish I would’ve stayed out and tried having the track crew pull the body out, but with the right side door pushed against the frame, I thought bringing it to the hot pit was safest.

Definitely sucks as the races are winding down before leaving for pilot training for a little while. I thought we had a good chance last night, but it wasn’t meant to be.

We’ve had our ups and downs this year. A few DNFs and a couple top 5s. Haven’t updated how we usually do. Looking to finish off strong here in the next couple of races.

Recap of the last few weeks of racing:

This past weekend we raced at Shelby County Speedway.

Heat: 2nd 👉 2nd
Feature: 5th 👉 3rd

Messed up early on and fell back a few spots and tried our best to make headway in the rubber!

April 25th
Feature: 11th 👉 DNF

Rubber racing racing incident led to not finishing. After the night we found that the motor was hurt too.

All in all we’ve been trying to figure out these new shocks and dial this thing in! We have the spare motor back in and hoping to get the original fixed eventually.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

We’re getting closer on finishing the car and will try to make one of the races in the near future.

📆 We are working on a schedule and will try to be out as much as we can! Jack may be busy later in the year with flying related things, but the plan is to get after it as much as we can before then.

Was up to 9th but couldn’t hang on with 8” of toe.

Boone Speedway 9-1
Heat got caught up in a car spinning early and made us fall back. Didn’t transfer out of the B Feature.

We’ll keep our heads down for these next few races!
