Step one of practicing what I preach
ποΈββοΈ BUILT FOR BIRDIES: DAY 1 IS IN THE BOOKS! πͺ
Today, Jason Brown officially kicked off his 8-week Built for Birdies golf fitness journey with LAT Wellness Studio β and we started exactly where every good training program should: with an assessment.
Before we start pushing harder, lifting heavier, or chasing bigger performance goals, we need to understand where the body is starting.
Todayβs session was all about establishing Jasonβs baseline β looking at his:
πΉ Body movement & recruitment patterns
πΉ Rotational mobility
πΉ Hip hinge motion & form
πΉ Balance & stability
πΉ Squat, push & pull patterns
πΉ Basic core strength and overall movement quality
And just to be clearβ¦ there are no βrightβ or βwrongβ answers in an assessment like this. Weβre simply observing how the body moves so we know where to focus our training.
If we were giving Jason a grade, thoughβ¦ he passed with flying colors! ππ₯
For his assessment, we incorporated the GolfForever Swing Trainer to evaluate rotational mobility, hip hinge mechanics and balance, along with bodyweight movements and LAT equipment to see how his body responds to foundational movement patterns.
The beginning of a golf fitness program isn't about immediately crushing workouts. It's about building the foundation β understanding how the golfer's body is moving and feeling, improving mobility, developing core strength, and creating better movement patterns that we can build upon.
And this is just Day 1. π
Over the next 8 weeks, we're going to build on this foundation, challenge Jasonβs body in new ways, and track the progress along the way.
We're excited to see just how much we can improve his strength, mobility, stability, and golf performance.
ποΈββοΈπͺ Follow along β this is going to be one heck of a journey!
