God of all comfort and strength, we come to you today with heavy hearts, broken by the senseless violence that has taken the life of our loved one, Charlie Kirk. We are a people grieving, confused, and anxious. We mourn the life that was cut short and the promise that was lost in an act of violence.
Receive Charlie into your loving care, and grant him eternal rest and peace. You, who were acquainted with grief and suffered an unjust death, know our pain and our struggle to understand. Help us to find peace in the knowledge of your mercy.
We pray for the family and friends of Charlie. Comfort their anguished hearts, ease the burden of their grief, and surround them with your steadfast love. May they feel your presence and find strength for the difficult days ahead.
We also lift up all who have been impacted by this tragedy. For the first responders, police, medical professionals, and all who serve that community, we ask for your protection, courage, and discernment. Heal our fractured world and move our hearts from violence toward peace.
Lord, we know that vengeance belongs to you, and we can trust you to act in your timing and for your glory. We pray for the mending of all broken relationships in our world and in our neighborhoods.
In the wake of this tragedy, fill us with a spirit of compassion and an unwavering commitment to justice. May we honor Charlie's memory not with revenge, but with a renewed desire to build a more just and peaceable world.
