The Huskies played FLB in the semi final matchup of the D-10 playoffs. FLB took sets 1 and 2 but the Huskies battled back winning sets 3 and 4 to set up a fifth set. HC fought hard coming up a bit short in the end dropping the set 15-10. The Varsity finished the season with a record of 18-4. They battled through position changes and some injuries and showed up to compete every match. A huge Thank You to our Seniors for being the leaders on and off the court. Thanks to all of our players, coaches, managers and our parents and fans who supported the program all season long. We look forward to improving during the off season and coming back strong next year. HCVB Proud!!

HC went up against GM in the first round of the playoffs winning in 5 sets. Bailey Sanfrotello had 23 assists and 10 digs. Addison Lucas added 7 assists. Brie Masterson had 10 kills, McKenna Lewis 9 kills, Sophia Mudry 8 kills and 10 digs and Lexi Janke and Eva Gross both had 5 kills. Peyton Abbott led the defense with 23 digs. Lexi Janke had 10 digs. HC will play FLB in round 2 of the playoffs next Tuesday. Time and location are TBD at this point.

Saturday morning practice followed by a Gannon Volleyball match in the afternoon. Team building and great volleyball!! HCVB!!

The Huskies closed the regular season with a sweep against North East, finishing with a record of 17-3. Huskies advance to the playoffs against GM next Wednesday 6:00 pm at the Hagerty Center. A huge Huskie shout out to our Seniors, players, parents and fans for coming out to support the team. We hope to see you all next Wednesday as the journey continues. The JV had an outstanding season finishing 18-2. They are an amazing group of girls that have worked hard and had great success. Great job JV!!

HC hosted GM tonight in their final region matchup winning in 3 straight sets. Brie Masterson led the team with 15 kills, Sophia Mudry and Lexie Janke each had 7 kills and Eva Gross had 6 kills. Bailey Sanfrotello had 22 assists and Addison Lucas had 13 assists. Sophia Mudry had 11 digs while Kayla Bresee, Aubrey Pierce and Peyton Abbott each had 7 digs. HC is now 16-3. The JV won in 2 sets. Isabella Storm had 11 assists and Mariella Rose had 8 assists. Amiyah Curry had 8 kills and 7 digs. McKenna Lewis had 5 kills. The JV is now 17-2. HC hosts NE on Thursday for the last match of the regular season. Let’s pack the gym and cheer on the Huskies!! Let’s Go HCVB!!

Harbor Creek hosted Meadville tonight in a Region matchup, with the Varsity winning the match 3-1. HC was led on defense by Peyton Abbott 20 digs and Lexi Janke 19 digs. Sophia Mudry had 13 digs and Kayla Bresee added 10 digs. Bailey Sanfrotello had 23 assists and Addison Lucas added 15 assists. Brie Masterson had 14 kills and Eva Gross had 10 kills. Lexi Janke and Sophia Mudry each added 7 kills. The JV won in 2 sets. McKenna Lewis had 6 kills, Mackenzie Majewski 5 kills and Amiyah Curry 5 kills. Isabella Storm had 11 assists. HC is back in action on Tuesday 10/14 against GM in their final Region matchup.

HC hosted Warren tonight falling in 4 sets. Bri Masterson and Eva Gross had 9 kills each. Lexi Janke added 6 kills. Bailey Sanfrotello had 15 assists and Addison Lucas added 11 assists. Lexi Janke and Peyton Abbott both had 13 digs. Sophia Mudry had 12 digs and Kayla Bresee had 8 digs. The JV fought hard and fell in 3 sets. Alyssa Finn had 12 digs. Maria Ewings, Isabella Storm and Amiyah Curry each had 7 digs. HC is back at home on Monday for our pink out match.

The volleyball game vs. Meadville on Monday, Oct. 13th is a “Spike Out Cancer” game! The JV game starts at 6pm, Varsity at 7pm. Fans can expect a Basket Raffle, a 50/50 drawing, and Breast Cancer Volleyballs. Money raised will go to the Spike Out Cancer Foundation! Scan the QR code to donate and help support the fight against Cancer!!

The Huskies traveled to McDowell tonight winning in 3 sets. HC had a balanced attack with 7 kills each from Bri Masterson, Eva Gross and Sophia Mudry. Bailey Sanfrotello had 18 assists and 7 digs while Addison Lucas added 7 assists. Lexi Janke led the defense with 9 digs, Kayla Bresee had 8 digs and Sophia Mudry added 6 digs. HC improves to a record of 14-2. The JV won the first set, dropped the second. And then came back in the third to win the match. Makenzie Majewski led with 5 kills. Mariella Rose had 8 assists and Isabella Storm had 7 assists. Breanna Cassidy had 12 digs, Maria Ewings had 9 digs and Alyssa Finn added 7 digs. The JV is currently 15-1. The Huskies host Warren on Thursday night. Let’s Go HCVB!!

HC traveled to Erie tonight winning in 4 sets. The Huskies had a balanced attack with Bri Masterson leading with 11 kills. Sophia Mudry had 8 kills and 8 digs,Lexi Janke had 6 kills and 8 digs and Eva Gross had 6 kills. Bailey Sanfrotello had 27 assists and served 8 aces, while Addison Lucas added 9 assists and 6 digs. Kayla Bresee led the defense with 16 digs and Aubrey Pierce had 5 digs. The JV won in 2 sets. Isabella Storm had 8 assists and Maria Ewings had 5 aces. HC travels to McDowell on Tuesday 10/7
