The American chestnut tree once so abundant was driven to functional extinction by the Chinese Chestnut Blight in the early 1900’s and chestnut trees which once stood 100 feet tall and numbered in the billions, no longer grow in our forests. All American chestnut wood is now only available as reclaimed lumber from those early pioneer barns and houses. The Liberty is a knife that honors the principles of freedom, equality, and democracy that are at the heart of this nation.
