You’d be surprised how many times we perform a row in life…..

Pulling the front door closed when we leave the crib, pulling up our pants, pulling trash from the trash can, picking up pets or little ones, picking up a 24 pack of water from the grocery store, lifting our carry-ons to place in the overhead bin, etc. Train to be functionally able, don’t train just for looks. The looks will come.

You make the older population lift weights??? Absolutely, and farmer’s carry is a top tier exercise for them to do. Why? Most elderly struggle with walking long distances, some struggle to maintain an upright posture, a lot of them lack the ability to engage their core muscles especially through range of motion, handgrip strength has declined, balance becomes a huge issue for many, as we age we lose a degree of strength and it’s vital that we protect our core strength. Overall lifting weights is something that we shouldn’t shy away from, especially as we get older. It’s crucial that we maintain our quality of life, because the last thing any of us would want is to be dependent.

🎯When you workout, make sure your program is covering endurance, strength, and flexibility. Make sure the program is specific not only to your fitness goals, but towards your life. Be functional and be purposeful, it doesn’t take exotic exercises to be fit or to get results.

No dream, no goal is ever too crazy. I was mocked by others until they started seeing the results, then they took me serious. I went unnoticed, now shine brighter than the overhead lights in every room I enter. I went unheard, now I’m the one teaching. I was doubted, now I make believers. I couldn’t gain any grip of any of that until I started taking myself serious, establishing my persona and embracing it, gaining knowledge and spitting truth loud and proud, and most of all believing that I can do anything and conquer any obstacle. Be yourself, enjoy yourself, and never sell out yourself🤝
