🎙️ SeaBros Fishing Podcast Ep. 89 with “Light Tackle’n”
On this episode we had the pleasure of sitting down with Captain Kevin Albohn of . We came to know Kevin through mutual friends within our fishing networks, and have talked throughout seminar season here in New England.
Kevin’s intro to offshore fishing is similar to a lot of our guests and listeners. He has been a fisherman since he was very young and did his first offshore tuna trip at 13 years old. While pursuing his college degree(s), Kevin worked in the marine industry as a mechanic at a local marina. He is also a law enforcement veteran where he had the opportunity to spend several years in the marine division. He was trained in tactical boating operations, water rescue and several other marine safety courses. He is also a trained public safety scuba diver.
With over 30 years experience on the water, Kevin is a well respected charter captain and has focused on light tackle offshore fishing. When his eyes were opened to jig and pop style tuna fishing, Kevin has been refining these tactics and has based his charter business around it.
In the conversation, we talk all things light tackle tuna fishing. Kevin discusses topwater tactics, jigging for tuna, and the best ways for safely targeting giant bluefin tuna on light gear. We tell some charter fishing stories, explain some theories, and Kevin shares some recent experiences tuna fishing off North Carolina and in the Gulf of America 🇺🇸
(This podcast was recorded at the 2026 seminar)
We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!

🎙️ SeaBros Fishing Podcast: Ep 88 with “The Charter Life”
On this episode we were excited to welcome back Captain Brett Wilson of Hindsight Sportfishing. In this conversation with Brett, we chat about the 2025 charter fishing season. We fish a lot of the same areas and have a very similar fishing schedule throughout the summer and fall. To neither of our surprise, last season was a grind for both of us and others in our network of charter guys. When it came to the tuna fishing, we agreed that last season was a struggle north of Cape Cod. There were some great days in the mix, but we had to work hard for tuna bites and made some pivots to other species to keep customers happy.
Brett reviews what he has seen in regards to bluefin tuna fishing over the past decade. He tells stories from his trips to Georges Bank and what conditions pushed him and fellow fishermen to go there.
We wrap up with a few deer hunting stories and Brett brings us a tail from a 1,200lb bluefin that we are going to refinish for him.
Brett is a funny dude and great captain. We hope you enjoy this podcast as much as we did!

🎙️ SeaBros Fishing Podcast: Ep 87 with “2025 Bluewater Season Review”
On this episode Captain Damon Sacco of Castafari Sportfishing returns for his fifth podcast appearance with us.
Damon is a pleasure to talk to and always has great stories to share. In this conversation, Damon reviews the 2025 canyon fishing season. He talks about what he experienced in regard to fishing, weather, and he discusses the epic billfishing that occurred during the 2025
Damon also talks about the bluefin tuna fishing near the wind farms south of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. We theorize as to why the bluefin fishing was very steady on those grounds and not so much in Massachusetts Bay. As usual Damon has some awesome travel fishing plans for this winter, including fishing in the Red Sea. He talks abut where he’s going and what bucketlist species he’s looking to target
Finally, we spend time talking about the upcoming 2026 Castafari Offshore Fishing Seminar (February 28 & March 1 in Newton, MA), which is always an educational and exciting event to attend. Damon talks about some of the new presentations on tap for this year’s event and mentions some legendary captains and fishermen that will be speaking.
We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!

🎙️ SeaBros Fishing Podcast: Ep 86 2025 Season Recap
It’s been a while, but we are very excited to get season 7 of the podcast underway 🎣
On this episode, we sit down to review the 2025 Mass Bay Guides charter fishing season. It’s been a bit since recording our last podcast, and it felt really good to sit down and talk fishing.
Since our fishing season ended, we have spent the past couple of months focusing on family time and relaxing during the holidays.
In this conversation we discuss our experiences and what we learned during each phase of our fishing season last year.
We talk about the early migration striped bass fishing, shad fishing, summer & fall tuna fishing, and the amount of shark bi-catch that we had last year.
2025 was hands down one of our most challenging years of fishing in our area, especially in regards to tuna fishing. We theorize and explain our best educated guesses on why we didn’t see consistent tuna fishing in Massachusetts Bay last year. This was also our first fishing season without our father “Old Greg” in the mix. He’s still around, and doing well, but some medical issues impacted him prior to our fishing season and he couldn’t be on the water last year.
It was great to sit down as brothers, talk fishing, hunting, and just catch up on life. We are both excited to get season 7 of the SeaBros Podcast going. There are some great guests and topics lined up for this year. As always, thank you all for listening and for the support!
