'Twas the night before the Classic, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...not even a mouse.
The golf clubs were clean and packed in the car, in hopes that tomorrow would bring them a par.
The golfers were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of holes-in-one danced in their heads.
With golf clothes laid out, from shirts, shorts and a cap, each golfer turned in for an 8-hour 'nap'.
As they slept, in their heads, they heard so much chatter that they woke with a start to figure out what was the matter.
Rubbing sleep from their eyes, and clearing their head, they knew in an instant that it was the pre-game nerves that they dread.
The moon looked like a golf ball, and the grass like a fairway, as each golfer's thoughts turned to the Classic the next day.
Visions of their scores weighed on their brain until they remembered they had 27 holes to hone their game.
With loaded up golf carts, and practice sessions in the past, the goal tomorrow will be to make each hole better than their last.
So, grab your driver and irons and wedges and putter...and make sure each swing is as smooth as butter. Line up your shot with your best "eagle eyes" because the better you play, the greater chance of a prize!
So, out to the course in their golf carts they flew...with their bags full of clubs and extra golf balls too.
As they prepared to begin a full day of golf, out came Gary Grecco to send them off. His smile, how it widened as he opened in prayer, grateful for the support of each golfer who was there.
And, with that, each golfer was sent to their tees to begin a full day of making fun memories.
Now golfers, it's time to settle down and get some good rest because tomorrow will put your golf game to the test.
No matter what happens, you have already won because your support and donations will introduce more of our youth to the Son.
