Our 7th and 8th grade teams finished out their seasons last night with wins over Grass Lake. Congratulations to both teams as they went 8-2 on the season.
In 7th grade, our girlsβ brought solid rotational and help-side defense and a strong press that came in clutch in a game that came down to the wire in a 27-26 win over the Warriors.
- Sydney Meade: 3 points and 2 steals
- Ann Yeo: 4 points, 11 steals
- Parker Brown, 5 steals, 11 points
- Harlow Elbert: 6 points, 4 rebounds
- Brooklyn Cole: 6 rebounds
- Maceyn Gonzalez: 6 rebounds and 2 steals
In 8th grade, our Lady Comets had to battle for their final game of their middle school careers. It was an up and down game through the first three quarters β first going up by 10 in the first 10 minutes of play, then going down six heading into the half. Some back half grit, a strong press, and unselfish play ultimately led to a 57-38 win to close out the season.
- Miley Cole had some dawg defense and added 28 points, 5 steals, 6 assists, 1 block and 1 rebound
- Rylie Duncan notched ANOTHER double-double with 13 rebounds, 10 points, 3 steals, 2 blocks and an assist
- Maddox Woolworth snagged 10 steals and added in 4 points, a rebound and assist
- Madison Denig snuck 4 steals, grabbed 2 rebounds and added 2 points
- Juselle Smilowski had strong defense and added 5 steals, 5 points and 2 rebounds
- Erin Dunning brought some hops with 5 rebounds, great baseline inbounds play action, and 4 points.
- Thank you to Harlow Elbert, Gabbie DelosSantos, and Parker Brown for providing 5th quarter support throughout the season.
- And thank you to Dixie Bowman, Karly Seigel and Armanda Perez for battling and providing strong bench support for the team!
