* Vulnerable Post from the heart ❤️ *
Today marked My 17th year of being a Zumba instructor !!! What a joyful ride it has been ! If I am honest, I was disappointed tonight when I found out only Two people were coming to class. Over the years attendance has ebbed and flowed and at times I have wondered if it is simply time to hang up the Zumba shoes - 17 years is a long time to expect people to stay interested after all.
But …… then I think of all the amazing people I have met along the way. How i have impacted their lives and how they have impacted mine. I have witnessed women grow by keeping promises to themselves, i have seen women being the best version of themselves. I have seen strong bonds and friendships blossom between dancers. I have watched women be there for each other in their most broken moments , and support each other in their time of need. And then I reflect on All the good times and special moments we have shared on the dance floor and outside the Zumba studio and I know that —-the whole is greater than the sum of the parts and we have indeed built something extraordinary together. All of us. And then my heart is simply filled with gratitude 🙏 and I can’t wait to keep going. And life is full of surprises around every corner like tonight when two other ladies stayed for my class making it 4 !!! And greatest of all is being able to share it all with my Mom 😊 what a 🎁 GIFT!
So here is to year 18 may it be yet another Blessing to us all.
