We no longer have the outing this Saturday that was listed on our yearly schedule last month. So we are open for tee time reservations both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Just give us a call to set it up.

Effective Immediately…Due to multiple instances of severe cart damage in a relatively short period of time, You Must Be at Least 21 Years Old to Rent a Golf Cart. We will check ID’s. These carts are the Property of Norwoods Golf Club, and too often they have not been treated as such. The carts are strictly for facilitating individual’s rounds of golf and pace of play; not bumper cars or for X Games tryouts.

It is extremely fortunate that there were no serious injuries in this incident this morning. That could have easily ended very badly. But we are now taking these measures with Golf Cart Age Restrictions to hopefully limit these repeated incidents that continue to occur far too regularly.

A few other items have been occurring far too often as well that should be addressed. All of these will warrant removal from the golf course…No Outside Alcohol is permitted. We see many people filling up their golf bags with alcohol from their cars after checking in right before teeing off…If you pay for nine holes, you play nine holes (not 18). We see groups that check in for nine holes, but then they are coming off hole 18 green four hours later. We see that, you will not be allowed back…Driving Range Balls are for the driving range ONLY. Too many of those golf balls never find their way to the driving range, but they are found out on the golf course later on…And we do not allow 5somes or 6somes. Groups check in with back to back tee times as two groups of three, but by the second fairway, all six are in same group. It does not matter if playing a scramble or saying they will let people play through, playing in groups that large brings our pace of play down tremendously.

Thank you to the Vast Majority of our golfers who abide by the policies, and treat Norwoods with care. We strive to keep our course in top shape for each and every one of our community’s golfers, and one where everyone can enjoy a good day out on the course!

Local Ladies Golfers....Tuesday May 5th will be the start of our Ladies League at 10 AM. All ladies are welcome to come and play. Format will be a scramble, and we will draw for teams for the 9 Holes. Hope to see you there!

Reminder...Norwoods Monday Night 2-Man Scramble begins tonight. Check in by 5:15 PM, teeing off at 5:30 PM. One thing to note, the game portion this year ($15) is CASH ONLY. The other fees can use a credit card if desired. We have an ATM on site if needed. Cost will be $25 for members, $35 for non members...$2 Beer and $2 Hot Dogs as always...We look forward to seeing everyone this evening!

Our Monday Night 2-Man Scramble starts this Monday April 20th at 5:30 PM. Please be here and checked in by 5:15 to be entered into the event each week. The 2-Man will go from this Monday through the end of August, only skipping Memorial Day. We hope to see you here on the 20th!

We are having a yard sale out here at Norwoods today from 8AM until 11AM approx. We have tons of used golf bags and golf clubs available for cheap, along with some other items from around the course. Items range from old/oldish and just regular used. Prices very cheap! Come check that out today, and then stick around to play some golf in great temperatures.

The course is open today to tee off until approx 3:45 PM this afternoon.

Due to the weather outlook this weekend, we are going to be closed until Tuesday Feb 24th. We look to re-open that morning around 10 or 11AM.

Golf Course schedule for the next 7-10 days.

We plan to open at 10AM daily. That is obviously dependent on frost or rain etc. Last tee time approx 3:30 PM. Please call ahead to check on course status. Carts are cart path only, and on holes without cart paths, carts must stay out of low lying areas.
