Interesting facts that I did not know.... how about you?

Earth compared to all its water and air.

From space, Earth looks like a water planet, with oceans covering more than 70 percent of its surface with an average depth of 14,000 feet (4267 meters). However, if every drop of water in the world was collected into a sphere, it would be just 869 miles (1400 km) across – barely big enough to cover Eastern Europe.

The image also shows all the air in the atmosphere (5140 trillion tonnes of it) gathered into a ball at sea-level density.

Mt. Doom Paintball and Airsoft has expanded to the point that I can no longer also run the Mt. Doom Zombie Hunt during the Halloween/Fall season. I have the land and woodland layout, I have the expertise to re-set the course in a new and easier to run format, I have the waiver and insurance and I have plenty of zombies who are anxious and willing to be targets but what I don't have is the personnel to run this event. I will be looking for a few individuals who are fi****ms qualified, safety conscious, authoritative and creative to help build and run this event. Pay would be involved on a "per-person" attendance rate, not hourly and you would be in charge of scheduling, running and clean-up.

It's now been nearly 4 years since the last Zombie Hunt and I took a look at the course the other day. Most of the zombies have been overgrown by vines, their cloths have rotted away to hanging rags and many of the wooden body structures have rotted to the point of collapse. The 16 steel plate heads are still 100% usable, some with painted faces still on them. My next plan for this place will be to bring all the steel plates up from the woods and build new body structures and dress them. Then find a single good shady woodland lane and put all 16 zombies plus a few frames for paper zombie silhouettes up close and have a single Zombie Hoard Assault stage. You would be timed from start signal till you fired, say, 20 rounds and scored on head hits only as always - they are zombies!... most head hits plus shortest time scores best score... NEXT SHOOTER UP!
If you think you'd be interested in coming to the NEW Mt. Doom Zombie Hunt this fall let me know. Cost would be $20 each, you supply .22 cal. ammo of your choice and gather up 9 friends (or more) and reserve a hunt. Your group would be able to run the stage as often as you like throughout the afternoon. Cold Range Rules in effect. Same rules as before on children participating.

I visited the Zombie Hunt field after it's been down for nearly 2 years and it will require some work to get it back up and running but it's creepier than ever. Most all of the Zombies are still standing where they were set up but their cloths have truly deteriorated to the point that I can say if there were ever a real zombie apocalypse the zac's would all be naked about a year into it. It would take about a day to get it all back up and running for another Zombie Hunt so if anyone out there in the big wide world of WWW sees this and wants a HUNT ... just get 10 shooters together and give me a call.

WHAT IS A ZOMBIE HUNT AT MT. DOOM? Last year I created the zombie hunt trail and held zombie hunts for some friends who then wanted hunts for their families and business associates. I'm going to open the trail again this year for anyone who wants an afternoon of shooting fun. The trail is built along a 10 acre woodland setting with 10 different shooting lanes containing life-size zombie mannequins and zombie paper silhouettes some far away and other right in your face. You'll need 100 rounds of any cheap .22 caliber ammo and a pistol, revolver or rifle. I have fi****ms available for those who would like to rent one. Each stage is timed and we determine who is the best shooter at the end. You get to watch your friends or family members shoot and critique their performance as I'm sure they'll gladly do the same for you. All ten stages will take about four hours for a group of ten shooters. The cost for a zombie hunt is $25 each and try to get as many as 10 shooters for your party. I'd love to take a private group of 10 shooters through the Zombie Trail some weekend or week day. Would make a great event for the end of a business meeting week. Invite some friends and call me to set up a zombie hunt this winter.

I sure hope it snows again. If it does I'll take some Zombies-in-the-show photos. They would look pretty good silhouetted by white and would make it easy to lock in on your targets. This is another trail on our property that may be used for another type "hunt" later on.
