George Washington is correct. So many of the comments in Facebook today try to accept the idiotic posts of people who want to be "woke*. They are delusional. Traditional values helped make this a great country. I do what I can to support those longstanding values

I am certainly pleased to be mentioned by the New Hampshire State Council of the Arts post! Fly tying is an art with long traditions in New England and I enjoy the opportunity to share some of those traditions and history.

With many gift items seemingly geared toward women, shopping for guys can often be quite difficult, which is why the holidays are a busy time for Rick Little of Shadcreek Flies.

Now is the time to try saltwater flyfishing on the coast of NH and the North Shore. Loads of fish. I haven't caught a keeper yet (28") but I have caught several in the 24" range, and I've had a wonderful time. This was the second evening of the week when there was not another angler on the beach. All to myself. Brant, sunsets, fish and a beach alone. Wonderful

It has been a good week. The stripers usually show up in force about May 15th in this neck of the woods. I've had some excellent evenings on the water. Tonight, I went back to fishing 3 flies at a time. This time using one Beastmaster, one Gartside Fishhead, and one kind of generic epoxy synthetic streamer I pulled together. I caught fish on each of the flies and had my first two doubles of the season (2 fish caught on the same cast!!). One of them actually started off as a triple but the 3rd fish go off before I could bring them to hand. I pinch the barbs down so it is easy to get the fish off without harming them but that can mean that they can squirm off by themselves. O well. Wonderful evening. By the way, the Brant are still here. They have not taken off for the Arctic yet, but they will soon.

Striper Season!
I am preparing an order for a customer from Maine, who needs some striper flies. This is part of the selection of Flatwings, Beastmaster Generals, and Ray's Flies that I am tying for him.
These are great flies for the Northeast and it is so much fun to spend time on the coast as the stripers work their way north.
Enjoy the Season !!!...... Oh, yes, if you need flies for either freshwater or saltwater please contact me or check out my website www.shadcreekflies.com or my home page at www.Myflies.com

Getting my feet wet....
Sunday afternoon was the first time I have been able to get out on the water this season. It was a beautiful afternoon. I went to a local southern NH river and had a wonderful time. I had a new rod and reel to try out for the first time, and it felt so nice casting over moving water than my earlier "test runs" in the back yard. I didn't catch any fish, but I caught a few hours on the water on a beautiful day...... and I got my waders wet for the first time this year.

Over the past several years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to share presentations with many organizations throughout New England, and to talk about flies, fly fishing, and the wonders of the world of nature with many people. I've tied flies that I hope have brought success to many anglers. Shadcreek Flies is now reaching out to more people and I hope that you will share with me and the rest of our Facebook friends, your experiences on the rivers and streams that we all enjoy so much.
