Mike Connell spurs and stuff I build all the stuff I couldn't afford when I was in the cowboy line of work. Shanks are open to the imagination and my forging ability. One of a kind pairs.

I do custom work in blacksmithing for farm and ranch from custom spurs to branding irons to some replacement parts for old implements. If you want a pair of spurs, please feel free to post a message and we'll see what I can do with a hammer, anvil and forge. All my spurs, thus far, are hand forged, one piece, made in the "Texas Tradition". Every pair is unique and each pair a bit different. Rowels

are limited due to I would have to charge that much more for hand making them, but I will do it if you want for something unique. I will trade for my stuff I build as well. I know some cowboys can't afford expensive gear. Please message or call and we can work trades or purchases out.

Been a long time since I posted anything, or even built anything. This is a Scottish sporran to wear with a kilt. It's in a military fashion but used different color horse hair to look more like the sporrans of 150 years ago. Brass cantle and large braided buttons as used on the ranching gear I make. A mix of culture.

I have been laid up with a broken ankle and nothing has been getting done. 8 weeks confined mostly to a recliner and using a walker.

Here is something new from the shop. A couple kilt pins made from elk antler and African blackwood.
