The Indiana Bass Federation Youth - North event on Lake Maxinkuckee was a success! Both of our teams had great days with CJ and Jared taking home the win and Tanner(me) and JJ finishing in 4th place. This event was great for points for both our teams. JJ and I unofficially moved back into the first place spot for overall points and CJ and Jared are about 10 points behind.

On Saturday we took on Lake Manitou. It was definitely a tough day. Both teams found the fish and most likely had the fish on to win but we struggled on landing them. Tanner (Me) and JJ finished 8th and CJ and Jared finished 11th. We are both sitting pretty good in points going into stop number 3 on Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver,IN. Time to get back on our feet and make a come back!

To say today was a good day for our Mishawaka Teams would be understatement! JJ and I ended up getting the win today out of a roughly 30 boat field with 12.97 with a 5.67 kicker caught by JJ!

We really appreciate Jim Wheeler for being our boat captain today and teaching us a lot about the tough summer bass in our area!

Our team’s success didn’t end there as CJ and Jared landed three keeper bass for 6.72 keep them in the top 10. Both of our teams are off to a strong start for points. We hope the success can carry on to Manitou Lake on August 27th!

Our 2022-23 season starts tomorrow on the Barbie Chain! It is looking like a wet one but hopefully the fish will be biting!

I’d like to welcome JJ, one of our newest members to the team. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys topwater fishing. JJ is a freshman this year and is fishing with me (Tanner) for this season.

Wish us luck as we have two teams competing tomorrow under the Mishawaka name!

I’m a little late to the update but here it is. We competed in the SAF State Championship on Patoka Lake on May 7th. The fish we’re moving up to spawn more and more each day we were there. We Got on a little pattern but nothing very solid at all. We were thankful to bring in one fish to the scales in the 54 boat field. We got big bass for the overall tournament and 3rd in our trail tournament with a 6 pound 4 ounce largemouth.

This fish locked us into the trail state championship competing against 9 of the best high school teams in the state. We compete on Raccoon Lake tomorrow June 4th in hopes of coming out as state champions in our rookie year.

Hey everyone, CJ and I would like to apologize for the lack of posting lately.

Webster lake was a tough tournament as I fished alone while CJ had a band competition. I worked my tail off at the front of the boat all day and scrapped together a few shorts and just one keeper. As of right now we are number 4 in points for the season. We have a tournament on Patoka Lake May 7th and our state championship. We’re planning on attending the world finals on lake Pickwick in Florence, Alabama. (If you’ve fished it pm us)

On September 18th CJ and Tanner fished on Hamilton lake for the 3rd high school event of the year. It was a very slow day for most anglers as there weren’t any limits weighed in. It wasn’t until 1 o clock before Tanner put the first bass in the live well and shortly after that he brought a nearly 3 pounder in the boat as well. Though the two fish don’t seem like much, they moved the team up to 3rd place out of 26 teams in points for the year. Stay tuned for the final stop of 2021 on Webster Lake!
