When is the Lecture?
That’s for us to know and you to find out…in Studio!

Why aren’t you posting the date/time on the socials?
As the old credit card commercial said: membership has its privileges! Lecture Series Events are one of many perks that come with being part of the TerraLuna Community. We love supporting our Guests in all aspects of wellness and offering these Lectures is just another way to do so!

How much does it cost to attend?
There is no charge! As a follow-on to the above question, Lectures are for Studio Guests only and it’s our joy to offer these events at no cost.

I’m a Studio Guest and I want to attend! What do I do next?
The next time you are in Studio for a class, all you need to do is sign up! The sign-up sheet (with the date/time of the Lecture) is in the lobby. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

We saw on the news that the Butler County United Way is also hosting a Socktober donation drive, so we'd like to present a friendly challenge!

Who can collect the most socks?

TerraLuna is currently at 371 pairs and, since we double that number before making our final donation, we're committed to passing out 742 pairs of socks.

Butler County United Way, we'd love for you to share the number of socks you've collected so far!

Congrats Toni and thank you for being the Guest that took us up and over this years goal!

Join us in celebrating the moment we surpassed 300 pairs of socks collected! We have 9 days left in Socktober so keep those socks hoppin' in.

Remember that every pair of socks collected is matched before being donated to a local organization that distributes care and comfort packages to unhoused people in our community.

We're honored by every pair of socks donated by our Guest and collected by our friends over at Another Mental Bakedown and thank you all for helping us help others.

Are you taking real Pilates classes at a real Pilates studio?
Maybe. Maybe not.

The word “Pilates” isn’t trademarked. As Pilates has become increasingly popular, more fitness centers, gyms, and small studios have been creating classes advertised as Pilates. Here’s how to tell if you are taking true Pilates classes or something more accurately described as “Pilates-inspired”.

The studio owners/instructors have their own Pilates practice.

If you don’t do it yourself, how can you teach it? (Yes, we all have our own practice!)

If the instructor is a weight-lifter, a cyclist, an aerobics instructor, or even a personal trainer, that’s awesome! Everyone should have their passion and area of expertise. Being an instructor certified in other types of fitness does not qualify someone to lead a Pilates class.

The instructors are fully trained.

Real Talk: Becoming a Pilates instructor takes hundreds of hours.

You read that right. Hundreds of hours. One simply cannot become a Pilates instructor by taking a weekend seminar.

Pilates instructors are highly trained, frequently on multiple pieces of apparatus, and according to the Principles of Pilates. They know a huge catalog of movements, the purpose of the movements, and how to safely teach those movements to each and every person in their class.

Twice each year we are proud to host charity drives in support of our local community. All of the socks we collect during Socktober stay here in our immediate area to be included in Care & Comfort Support Bags put together by our friends at CoExist.

These bags contain toiletries, snacks, and lists of resources for recovery and other support services and every pair of socks distributed is one more pair of feet that knows that others care about them.

My favorite food is pizza with ranch and my favorite drink is diet coke.

Would you please share with us a bit about your family/pets?
My husband and I have been married for ten years. We have a lab-mix named-Rex, 2 cats-Dewey and Alley, and 9 Indian Runner Ducks.

What is a little-know-fact about you?
My husband and I were set up on a blind date.

We are underway and excited about all of the donations sock-hopping in! Remember that TerraLuna matches each pair of socks donated; if you donate 12 pairs of socks, we ultimately donate 24 pairs of socks to those in need!
