Virtual school... distanced events... SO much time indoors... after a year of adversity, this has had such a hefty impact on kids. Your child's self esteem and emotional well being is our priority at Way of Life.

Every class is packed full of empowering conversation, practical self defense, and a is a place for your child to embrace martial arts and their own inner confidence to the fullest!

Are you planning on ordering martial arts equipment for your rockstar student? If so, the last day we can guarantee orders arriving before Christmas is Wednesday, December 15th!



To place an order with us, please send us an email or give us a call before 9:00pm next Wednesday.



Regarding Action Hero Photos... we are scheduled to receive our photo package (with everyone's order) next week! Your photo package will be available at Way-of-Life for pickup. Once received, we will send out an email to let you know your order is ready, and you can stop in any time between 3pm - 8pm.

Dear students and parents,

First, this evening is our Photo Shoot with Action Hero Graphics! No classes this evening. After this message, you will receive a roster with names and times for tonight's event.

*Please review the below information regarding classes at Way-of-Life*


As you likely know, Governor Gretchen Whitmer made a statement and set of requirements last night regarding the increase in COVID-19 cases in Michigan. These requirements, while not as extensive as we saw earlier this year, affect our ability to teach group martial arts classes.



I am incredibly grateful to all of our Way-of-Life families and staff for helping us keep the school safe, clean, and for supporting our COVID procedures. We have gotten through it thus far, and we will keep going... even in the face of circumstance!



*Action Plan Statement*



The new requirements, in effect for three weeks beginning this Wednesday, do not permit group exercise or gatherings. Starting Wednesday, November 18th, we are shifting to a private lesson based curriculum. Honestly, while I am devastated we cannot work as a group on the mat, I am excited for this new adventure!



What To Expect:

• The option for virtual and in-person private lessons with 80 available slots each week.

• Virtual Little Ninja and Kaizen Karate classes held Monday through Friday.

• Virtual Friday instructor workshops.

• Virtual Kaizen and Black Belt Club classes held Saturdays.



Our instructor team is meeting this evening to review our new weekly schedule and put everything in place. Once solidified, we will release a new online signup for lessons and kick off strong this Wednesday.



Please be ready for a statement tomorrow outlining our plan. There is quite a bit of organization and setup involved — your patience and flexibility is truly appreciated!



Classes are on as scheduled for tomorrow, November 17th.



Thank you for being so understanding — for continuing to support us through this crazy time — for being the amazing, loving families in our community you are. I am making it my mission to work with each and every student personally over the next three weeks. Stay tuned... I will be in touch tomorrow!
