For many years, HLSC has both supported and is home to Troop 506. These young people provide service to their communities and all with smiles on their faces.

To say we are proud of this particular young man is an understatement.

Jonathan Werner earned the money selling more than $56,000 in Boy Scout popcorn.

Wild Weather lately and Mother Nature is out to remind us who is BOSS! Last Wednesday, May 11th, we were pretty sure we saw lightning ⚡️ strike the marsh.

Thursday Calvin took a trip out there to investigate and found these.

The first two photos are of the piece he brought back for us to see. When he and Marvin Stone went back out a bit later, they discovered a long line of more of the same. Proof that lightning ⚡️ had not only struck the marsh, but traveled along the ground after contact.

This is why we will always pull Shooters and Attendants from the Trap Field if lightning is detected near by or on the way - we can never be too safe!

Greetings Members,

After careful consideration of the weather and due to a trap machine malfunction, we are not able to offer shooting this evening.

One of the armatures of the thrower itself is frozen and we were unable to finish the last round of shooters last night. Every effort was made to try and find a fix to repair the machine today, but we are unable to do so.

Now, with wind projections reaching dangerous levels, it has been decided that it is the best interest of all to cancel tonight's shooting.

Thank you for your understanding and we wish you all a Happy Easter Weekend and will see you next week!
