Happy Fall friends! Just a friendly reminder that while you're enjoying this semi-natural treasure, please be kind and keep others in mind; leave no trace, bring out what you bring in, and pick up after the furry members in your family, who also must be leashed even if they'd never hurt a fly. It protects you more than anything else and ensures us all being able to continue visiting without further restrictions.

Vaughan Woods & Historic Homestead of Hallowell, Maine is a 197-acre nature preserve, house museum and education center, locally nicknamed "Hobbitland." The trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. The house and gardens are open on occasion.

I've received a few messages inquiring on updates. Unfortunately there have been no new posts by the homestead since their announcement closing the trail system March 28th. I'm right there with everyone waiting with fingers crossed that this all ends soon. Stay safe friends ❤🍀🌲🌳🌸🍄☀🌈
