♟️ Summer Chess Camp – Day 1!

Today we kicked off another exciting week of our Summer Chess Camp! 🎉

From the very first moves, our students showed curiosity, determination, and a true love for learning. Throughout the day, they worked on chess strategy, solved challenging puzzles, played practice games, and made new friends along the way.

We’re excited for an amazing week ahead filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. The journey has just begun, and we can’t wait to see how much every student will grow by Friday! 🏆

♟️ What an incredible week! ❤️

Our Chess Summer Camp (June 22–26) has come to an end, and we couldn’t be prouder of every student who joined us.

This week was filled with learning, strategy, challenging games, new friendships, and lots of smiles. Every student worked hard, improved their chess skills, and showed determination, focus, and great sportsmanship.

A huge thank you to Grandmaster Sandro Pozo for sharing his knowledge, inspiring our students, and making this camp such a memorable experience.

Congratulations to all of our campers on completing the week and earning their certificates! 🏆 We are excited to watch each of you continue to grow both on and off the chessboard.

Now families visiting our academy for chess and math classes can also explore her beautiful artwork filled with imagination, emotion, and a child’s unique view of the world.

Why are modern children struggling more with focus?

The average attention span of children has been decreasing for years.

It’s not because children became “lazy.”
The real issue is constant overstimulation:

• short-form videos
• endless scrolling
• constant switching between apps
• notifications every few minutes

The brain becomes used to extremely fast dopamine stimulation.
And after that, normal tasks start feeling “too boring.”

As a result, it becomes harder for children to:
• read longer texts
• solve problems patiently
• listen carefully
• stay focused without entertainment every second

But concentration is not a talent.
It’s a trainable skill.

And it develops through activities that require children to:
✔️ think ahead
✔️ hold information in their mind
✔️ analyze consequences
✔️ stay mentally engaged for longer periods of time

That’s why activities that require deep thinking are becoming more important than ever —
they help train the brain to focus again.
