We've made it to the show- thankfully a super uneventful drive! Lynx and I went in a halter class, but I neglected to explain to him ahead of time about trotting in hand... so we paced in hand.

We have ridden all over the grounds and warmed up in the arena. Posters, other horses going all directions, traffic, all no problem for this chill gelding.

Today Son of a Lynx and I went and did trot sets and cantering in the fields with the dogs, then he had a bath in preparation for another show tomorrow.

Does a Standardbred pacer canter while ridden? Certainly!

It was a serendipitous beginning to under saddle canter work, we have an aggressive horse fly to thank for our early cantering success!

I've recently had several potential new homes asking about Son of a Lynx, so I thought I'd share the info! He'll be available for adoption after Nationals in Sept, and we are currently taking applications for him.

This horse is good being handled for everything, and he is safe safe safe! A sensible brain like this doesn't come along everyday. Not to mention he's quite good looking.
