Diets don't have very much reliability. Five years after a diet, most people have regained the weight. Forty percent of them have gained even more. If you think about this, the typical outcome of dieting is that you're more likely to gain weight in the long run than to lose it.

The science behind why dieting not only doesn't work, but is likely to do more harm than good.

People talk about making good choices, living on restricted diets.... I've said the same thing forever,  eat fresh foods...

People talk about making good choices, living on restricted diets.... I've said the same thing forever, eat fresh foods you make at home and if you need to lose weight, eat less and exercise. Diets are painful and unnecessary. Now go have a cup of coffee with an egg (salted!) and a piece of chocolate for dessert!

We were warned by experts to avoid these edibles at all costs. Turns out the experts were wrong

For Lent, I'm giving up being lazy. Not that I don't do stuff all the time...it just doesn't include a focused physical activity. So, 5 days a week I will engage in a focused physical activity for a minimum of 30 minutes.
