Such a raw beautiful experience to get so close to this whale. The ocean is always so humbling 💙

Paddled a mile or two offshore looking for whales when suddenly the water next to me started moving. A massive whale broke the surface just 10 feet from my board, came up for a huge breath, and disappeared back beneath the water 🐋

Being that close, you could hear it breathe and feel the sheer size of it. Pretty humbling sharing the ocean with something that powerful.

Watched a few more cruise by, then caught a wave all the way back in 🌊

2026 summer surf camp was one for the books! Our goal has always been bigger than teaching kids how to surf. We’re teaching lifelong ocean skills, building confidence, challenging them to push outside their comfort zones, and creating an environment where new friendships can grow.

And a HUGE shoutout to our incredible Tommy Tsunami team. You guys absolutely crushed it this summer. The energy, patience, stoke, and effort you brought every single day made this summer so special for our campers.

There’s a kind of euphoria that hits when you catch a wave just right. For a few seconds, everything else disappears. The noise, the stress, the things waiting for you on shore. It’s just you, the ocean, and that feeling of being carried by something bigger than yourself.
