To all concerned mariners regarding the closure beneath the Hoan Bridge for the “Red, White & Brew” welcome party for the RNC-

Please share with all concerned entities-

Maritime Security Zone 2
Impacted Area: Waters in the vicinity of the Daniel W. Hoan Bridge
Dates/Times of Impact: Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 3 p.m. - Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (estimated/subject to change)
• Coordinates:
o Starting at 43-01.542N, 087-54.127W, then east to
o 43-01.554N, 087-53.757W, then south to
o 43-01.511N, 087-53.689W, then west to
o 43-01.443N 087-54.111W, then north to origin

Vessels greater than or equal to 65 feet are prohibited from entry into, transiting, or anchoring within this security zone unless authorized by the USCG Captain of the Port Lake Michigan or a designated representative.

Vessels less than or equal to 64 feet may transit through this security zone but are prohibited from anchoring or loitering; the USCG Captain of the Port Lake Michigan or a designated representative reserves the right to prohibit vessels less than or equal to 64 feet from transiting the security zone as operations dictate.

With the incoming cold snap- if your sink is on an outside wall, please leave cabinet doors open- and a pencil stream of hot and cold water flowing from the faucet!
I love making money from repairing frozen pipes-
But please be smart and save some bucks!!!

If you are without power and heat in your home- turn on all plumbing faucets in your home- with the hot and cold water (both taps or middle if a single tap) turned on to a pencil stream flow…
This will prevent the water piping from freezing in your basement and/or walls…

Hello Everyone!

We are planning our annual trip to Racine on (Friday) September 1st through (Monday) September 4th at Reefpoint if you are interested in boating you can call 262-633-7171 and reserve your slip. When you call let them know you are with MHYC or SSYC. We are going too do potluck on Sunday evening so bring a dish to pass.
