Aloha Surfing 'Ohana

Aloha Surfing 'Ohana Aloha! We welcome you to join us in learning the beautiful and awesome sport of Surfing! We are the Kahaulelio 'Ohana from the North Shore of O'ahu.

The North Shore of O'ahu is known for beautiful beaches, surf, and the people. We live in Waialua, which is right next to Historic Hale'iwa town. We've been surfing since we were keiki (children). We also enjoy SUP (stand-up paddle boarding), hiking, and snorkeling as an ohana, and having BBQ's at the beach always including our friends. Our claim to fame was being in the movie "Blue Crush".

​The

instructors are Native Hawaiian sisters, Keola and twins, Nohea & Kahea. They speak Hawaiian and dance hula. They are also water polo players (former UH Manoa and currently Pitzer College). They are all CPR & First Aid certified.

Elia will be competing in the 14U USA Water Polo Junior Olympics in Irvine, CA in July. To help offset travel expenses, our parent led booster club is hosting an inaugural Paniolo and Pua Pā'ina at Artistry Honolulu on Jul 2 (6-11 pm) as a fundraiser. $35 tickets will include 'ono Hawaiian food, live music, games, raffles, silent auction, talent show, and fun! Even if not able to attend, you can use the QR codes to help support Elia. Mahalo and hope to see you there!

My son didn't get introduced to it until very late in high school, but Book taught him the fundamentals and sparked a passion in him to want to pursue it.
