Sun Valley Huts Sun Valley Huts is a system of backcountry yurts and huts located in central Idaho, operated by the Environmental Resource Center (ERC).

Accessible for personal backcountry adventures by reservation and collaborative eudcational programming with the ERC. SUN VALLEY TREKKING has been exploring wild landscapes with guests since 1982. Our purpose is to sustain the human spirit through adventure and exploration. As one of the foremost wilderness hut-to-hut ski operations in North America, our six backcountry Huts and Yurts are availabl

e for rent and provide exceptional opportunities for hut-skiing, field-based avalanche education courses, mountain biking, and summer trekking in the mountains of central Idaho. As licensed outfitters and guides for telemark and randonee skiing, cross-country touring, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking and trekking, we specialize in custom guided treks year round. With snow falling up high we thought we’d share a conditions update:

Folks are still skiing fresh snow out of the sawtooth huts! Even ticking off some epic lines. Bikes have made getting to the trailhead significantly easier with the roads drying out. Now is the perfect time to book your spring Alpine Mission hut reservations for next year. 🤌
