Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, volunteers, parents, and families who make our Federal Little League community so special.

Whether you’re spending the day relaxing, enjoying time with family, or getting ready for another season of baseball, we hope you have a safe and happy Labor Day! ❤️

Federal Little League Fall Ball is right around the corner! We’re excited to get our players back on the field for a fall filled with **baseball, skill development, instruction, and FUN!**

⚾ AGE 9+ | MAJOR DIVISION ELIGIBLE

📅 Starts Tuesday, September 1
⏰ 5:30–7:00 PM
📆 Tuesdays & Thursdays
📅 Through October 8

⚾ UNDER 9 | MINOR / ROOKIE / T-BALL

📅 Starts Wednesday, September 2
⏰ 5:30–6:45 PM
📆 Mondays & Wednesdays

Our focus this fall is simple: get better, try new things, and have fun!🙌

For our 9+ players, we’ll incorporate sandlot-style games as we move through the season, giving players opportunities to pitch and try positions that may be new to them.

For our younger players, we’ll focus on
fundamental skills, confidence, development, and FUN!

📢Board Member Spotlight: Stephanie Nalley⚾

Role:Information & Community Engagement Officer

Years with Federal Little League:11 years

Stephanie volunteers with Federal Little League because she loves giving back to the youth in our community and building strong relationships with families throughout the league. Creating a sense of connection and community is one of the things she values most about being involved.

Her favorite part of the season is watching the moment the game finally *clicks* for a player. Seeing their confidence grow and witnessing their development throughout the season is what it’s all about. As Stephanie says, it’s about the whole process—not just the final score.

Fun Fact:Stephanie has hosted international students from around the world, including Germany, Korea, China, and France!

Favorites:
⚾ Favorite MLB Team: New York Yankees
⚾ Favorite Position: Third Base
⚾ Favorite Ballpark Snack: Chocolate-covered strawberries on a stick from Rockies Stadium—delicious!

Through her role, Stephanie helps keep families informed through social media and works to strengthen the sense of community that makes Federal Little League such a special place.

Federal Little League is getting ready for another great fall season, and we need our **FLL family** to help us get the fields ready! 💪⚾

We’ll be working on fall field preparation and getting the complex ready for our players.

Blake Nalley
Role:Field & Facilities
Years with Federal: 10years

Blake volunteers to give back to the community and help teach kids the game of baseball while sharing life lessons on and off the field. His favorite part of the league is the strong sense of community—especially watching the younger siblings (“The Feral Ones”) enjoy the park and, of course, the concession stand.

A fun fact about Blake: he can draw cartoon characters and used to skateboard when he was younger.

His favorite baseball memory is going 20–0 during his son Chase’s 12-year-old season and coaching the 7–8 All-Star team last year.

As part of the board, Blake works to keep the fields and facilities in top shape so every player has the best possible experience and can fall in love with the game. ⚾

📢Federal Little League Board Member Spotlight

Kristin HamiltonRole: Concessions Manager

Years with Federal: 6 years as a Little League parent, 3 years with the Concession Auxiliary, and now her 2nd year as a Board Member.
Kristin volunteers because she loves the time spent at Federal Little League—cheering in the stands and watching kids learn important life lessons through the game. Her family felt the league’s strong sense of community from the very beginning, even before moving to Hagerstown, and that welcoming experience made Federal feel like home.

A fun fact about Kristin: she lived in Germany and Japan for two years each before her family settled in Maryland four years ago.
Growing up, she attended more than 25 games at Dodger Stadium, which helped grow her love for the game. She’s a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers but enjoys cheering for teams at ballparks across the country.

As Concessions Manager, Kristin helps keep the stand stocked, organized, and running smoothly—creating a great experience for families while raising funds that support the league. She wants families to know the concession stand runs on the support of league volunteers and every decision is made with the kids and the league in mind. ⚾

⚾ Federal Little League Board Member Spotlight

Meet Sam Nalley, our Fundraising Manager continuing this season! Sam previously served on the Federal Little League Board from 2013–2018 and has returned this year to help continue building the strong community that makes our league special.

Sam’s love for baseball started in her own youth and grew by watching her parents volunteer at local leagues. That example inspired her to give back so today’s players can create the same great memories and experience the incredible support of our community.

What Sam enjoys most about Federal Little League is watching players grow in their skills and as people. While the wins are exciting, she values the sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie that baseball teaches along the way.

A fun fact about Sam? She proudly admits she’s a big nerd — from science facts to movie quotes, and fandoms like Marvel, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. As she says, “Weird moms build character, right?”

One of Sam’s favorite Federal memories still makes people laugh today. During a Minor League game on the major field, her son Wyatt decided he was too tired to continue playing… and simply laid down in the middle of the infield to take a rest. It’s a moment longtime Federal families still talk about!

As Fundraising Manager, Sam helps coordinate sponsorships, picture day, special events, and opening and closing ceremonies, working with the rest of the board to keep the season running smoothly and make it fun for everyone.

Sam wants families to know that it truly takes a team — board members, volunteers, and families all working together — to make the season possible. And at the end of the day, it’s all about creating the best experience for our ballplayers.
