PARENTS: At some point, your daughter’s mechanics won’t be what separates her from everyone else. Her MIND will.

There are a lot of good pitchers. The great ones have an insanely short memory. They can give up a bomb, walk someone, get squeezed by an umpire, have their defense make an error…and somehow get the ball back and still believe the next pitch is going to be THEIR pitch.

That’s the mental piece we don’t spend enough time developing.

Pressure is coming. Struggle is coming. Failure is 100% coming. The goal isn’t to avoid any of it. The goal is to know exactly what you need when you’re standing in the middle of it.

What’s your routine? What’s your breath? What are you saying to yourself? What does your body language look like? How quickly can you get yourself back to YOU?

And it’s not just when 💩 is going sideways. Know what you need when you’re dominating too. The little things between pitches matter way more than we give them credit for.

You’ve done the bullpens. You’ve thrown the pitches. You’ve put in the work. At some point you have to stop searching for something else and TRUST IT.

Because the great ones aren’t fearless. They feel pressure. They doubt. They get pi**ed. They struggle.

They just don’t stay there very long.

Get the ball back. Trust your 💩. Take a breath.

And throw the next damn pitch.

If you’re yelling instruction to your kid from the stands while his coach is trying to coach him from the field, you’re not helping.

You’re making him choose.

Coach says stay.

Dad screams GO.

Coach says shorten up.

Mom yells swing hard.

Coach tells him to throw strikes.

Dad is behind the back stop yelling
about his elbow.

Then everybody wonders why the kid looks lost.

Here’s the part some parents won’t like.

You paid someone else to coach your kid.

So let them coach.

Your kid doesn’t need two hitting coaches, three pitching coaches and a base coach disguised as a parent sitting behind the fence.

He needs ONE voice when he’s between those lines.

From the stands, your job is to be his parent.

Let his coach be the coach.

Super proud of these girls today!! First 12u weekend in the books and they didn’t disappoint!!! One practice together as a team and they came out to play!!💪

Goodluck tomorrow to our B.A.H Outlaws 10U Jameson!! First one of the Fall!! 🥎🥎🥎

Tomorrow kicks it off for the Fall 2026 season and these Outlaws are ready!!! ❤️💪🖤 As coaches, we’ve been so excited to watch these ladies come out stronger after all their hard work this summer. They’ve grown as players in their abilities, ball knowledge, and confidence to push through the hard moments! No doubt we will come away from tomorrow with lots of laughs and lessons, and hopefully some bling too 😜 LADIES, LET’S GOOOO 🥎
