ACGC Girls Basketball

It was a good week for ACGC girls basketball! I went to our youth 3 on 3 that is put on by some amazing volunteers in our community. It truly takes an army! Then the high school girls went to Madrid for a scrimmage and got to mix it up with all the other teams at the end. It was a great summer! We improved by leaps and bounds, showing grit along the way, and being a family. Enjoy family week and bring on fall sports. Can’t wait for November!

What a great three days in Spirit Lake! We got to play 6 games against good competition and grew closer as a team. The team focused on showing grit, staying positive when things got tough, and playing as one unit. It was a great experience!

Youth camp 2026 is in the books! Had 58 kids sign up which is the most ever. Lots of great energy, effort, and attitude all week! I want to thank the high school players, managers, and assistant coaches for all the help. They make this happen by leading stations, building relationships, organizing myself, and being positive role models for these campers without them none of this is possible. Also, I want to thank Dub P Apparel and Blake Vorrath for creating awesome camp shirts and sponsoring them to make it more affordable for the kids. ACGC culture and community support is amazing and the future of girls basketball is bright!

Hey everyone,
The girls had a great season this year where we finished 17-5 and broke 21 records! The graphics below highlight many of the accomplishments from the year. Also, I included the top ten for points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in ACGC history. Congratulations to all and thank you for a great season!

The AC/GC Basketball teams host their last regular-season game tonight at home against Madrid. The Girls JV will play two quarters at 4, with Boys JV to follow. The Girls Varsity will start at 6, and the Boys Varsity will start at 7:15. Come cheer your Chargers on before they enter their post-season! Good luck, Chargers!

The AC/GC Basketball teams host Pleasantville tonight in a conference matchup. The Girls JV will play at 4, and the Boys JV will play at 5. The Girls Varsity will start at 6, followed by the Boys Varsity at 7:15. It is senior night for winter activities. Cheer, Dance Team, FFA, Pep Band, and Winter Guard will be announced at 5:30 before the Girls Varsity Game. The Boys and Girls basketball team members will be announced following the Girls' game.
