LHF had a successful first IEA show of the season!! Benny and Jonas were awesome and so were all the riders. We had success in the Open 2’6 to the walk/trot flats! We love IEA for the opportunities it gives for our riders to improve and show.

LHF had a successful first IEA show of the season!! Benny and Jonas were awesome and so were all the riders. We had success in the Open 2’6 to the walk/trot flats! LHF is so excited to announce our Team Captains and their committees for the IEA 2026-2027 Season!

Our Horse show coordinator is Hayden Wente and on her committee is Indrani Aranda, Alexa Pagano, Sienna Buckley, Emma Hayes, Eleanore Landrum, and Abigail Landrum!

Our Volunteer Coordinator is Samantha Hryniewicki, and on her committee is Maddie Delfin, Mckenley Spry, Penelope Troiano, and Gigi Kalinowski!

Our Horsemanship Coordinator is Gwen Selgert, and on her committee is Gigi Kalinowski, Rachel Villasenor, and Morgan Ruggles!

Our Social Media Coordinator is Sarah Tithosh, and on her committee is Mae Pickering, Stella Kappler, Della Oboikowitch, and Rosa Torrelles!

Our Spirit Wear coordinator is Lela Hickey, and on her committee is Grace Ehrick, Giselle Jurmu, Laura Boyle, and Lydia Liu!

as summer comes to a close, we are reminiscing on our fun summer camp weeks at LHF! From beginners to IEA bootcamp, we did it all! The biggest thank you goes to our amazingly patient school horses for helping to teach the next generation and for creating the best summer memories for our LHF students 💙☀️

We ventured out last weekend and tried a new show circuit. Lots of learning and winning and so much fun was had!

Sophia and Peppy joined us from their home barn in WI and really leveled up doing more than they have ever done before. They had great rounds improving with each one and competed in their first derby!

Sarah and Eden had their first off property show with an impressive first derby finishing 2nd out of 22 and some amazing rounds in the beginner hunter and equitation including a win in the hunter flat and 4th in both classics.

Hayden took Twist (a last minute stand in) and delivered a better round each time they went in brining home CHAMPION in the long stirrup equitation sweeping the flats. Hayden also tried her hand at photography and captured some amazing moments that we will cherish forever.

Mildred and Jonas (also a stand in) took the tower hill show by storm. They also competed in their first derby with an impressive 6th out of 22 and enjoyed every minute of ride for ribbons! They were CHAMPION in the beginner Eq sweeping the division and WINNING the classic. Also with an impressive RESERVE in the beginner hunter division.

We had an amazing weekend filled with learning friendship and memories that will last us a lifetime.

a few weeks ago, Lela and Miles ventured down to Kentucky to compete in their first Junior Hunter Finals!

They exceeded all expectations in a huge, pressure filled venue, earning themselves a 93.5 in their classic round, finishing 26th out of 70 rounds!

This pair was competing in the 2’3 divisions late last year and had never been to a rated show! They have grown exponentially together since then. To think this is just the beginning of their time together is so incredibly exciting! We are wishing a massive congratulations to Lela and the Hickey family on such a huge accomplishment.

Thank you to Tiffany and team Somerset for welcoming us with open arms and for helping us all season!

Thank you to Arion for outfitting Miles in the perfect saddle to make sure he can feel and perform his best!

I’m not even sure where to begin with this weekend! 💙 ❤️ 💛

Despite the heat, team LHF had a phenomenal weekend at the PTS show!!
As always, the teamwork to get everybody ready to go and into the ring, and most importantly to keep everybody (especially the horses) comfortable and cool this weekend was amazing to watch! A huge thank you to everybody - even those who weren’t showing - who came or stayed to help and support everybody on such a warm day. Horsemanship always comes first, and I love watching our team stay true to that.

almost every pair this weekend was either new to showing, showing a new horse, or moving up a division! Even so, everybody had amazing success in the ring and even took home some pretty great ribbons!

here are just a few highlights..

⭐️ Our sweet girl Jazz got Linda back into the show ring after 40 years!! 👏🏼 They even took home some great ribbons, this pair was truly such an inspiration to watch.

⭐️ Tilly took Gisele around her first PTS show this weekend, as well! They took home great placings as well, including a 2nd in the w/t! The future is bright!

⭐️ Hayden & Conan moved up to the long stirrup and reserve champed the hunter division with a WIN in the under saddle and a 2nd over fences!

⭐️ Jazz also showed Emma around her first PTS show and they champed the long stirrup eq division with a WIN in both flats as well as a 2nd in the over fences!

⭐️ Cayden had some fun with D in the show ring before he heads off on his next life adventure.. we are so sad to see Cayden go but it was super fun to watch him in the show ring this weekend! They even snagged a 4th in the schooling hunter hack out of 8!

⭐️ Natalia & Ezra made their move up to the 2’ and had great results!! They took home a 2nd in the hunter hack and a 4th in the over fences out of *17*! They also took home a 2nd in a competitive eq flat of 12! The improvement in this pair is astonishing!!!

⭐️ Morgan & Nelson also made the jump to the 2’ and had some really great rounds including a 4th out of 17 in a hunter jump round and a 6th in the eq flat! We are excited to watch this pair continue to grow throughout the season!

⭐️ Sarah & Eden conquered some personal challenges and nerves and put in some beautiful rounds including a 4th out of 17 in a hunter jump round and a 6th out of 14 in their eq jump round!!

⭐️ Mildred & Jonas showed a ton of improvement and confidence since their last show together in Sept including a 3rd out of 17 in the hunter hack as well 4th and 6th in the hunter over fences rounds!

⭐️ Sophia & Remi had a phenomenal weekend making huge improvements since their outing last month and took home champion in the modified eq division with a WIN in the over fences and a 2nd on the flat! They also reserve champed the lows with another WIN in the hack! They also finished 2nd out of 8 in the medal!

⭐️ Alizabeth took Ev around her first 2’6 division and showed improvement with every round! They finished 2nd in the hunter hack and 2nd in their eq jump round!!

⭐️ Alizabeth & Ozcar had beautiful and consistent rounds in the open hunters, building Ozcars confidence every step of the way! They even got themselves a 2nd out of 17 in their warm up!

it was an absolutely amazing weekend for team LHF starting out with Lela and Miles at HITS! ☀️

Lela and Miles had a phenomenal weekend together! Their hard work paid off in taking home some great ribbons! Some specific highlights include..

💙 a WIN in the NHS medal 🥇

❤️ a 4th place finish in the National Derby!

💛 a 2nd place finish in a junior hunter round!
