Bass-n-Budmen is a local "invitation only" tournament trail that has been going since 1982.It was created by one of my best friends,Neal Douthut.

June 13,14...25 teams showed up at the season end classic for the coosa river chain...everyone had the choice to fish either Weiss,Neeley Henry or Logan Martin...All participants checked in at coosa landing and weigh in was at coosa landing...This was a thought that I had a couple of years back and with a little bit of planning we was able to pull it off as a "first" with no problems...It was a really cool tournament that put a great end to our season...Results as follows:

March 28 lake Martin Tournament had 28 boats show up on a sunny but windy day..Fishing was great for the 1.5lb "lake Martin specials" and we even had a lake Martin "unicorn" show up at the scales.Results as follows.

February 28 West Point lake season opener was one for the record books!..38 teams showed up to participate on a day that started with a 2 hour fog delay that gave way to sunny skies in the afternoon..

Tomorrow morning will start off the 44th year for the tournament trail...You always said that Me,Tony and Amanda grew this thing way bigger than you had ever thought it could be..Truth is to build something solid and great you have to start with a good foundation and you gave us that...We have the best group of guys and gals that have been "hand picked" and this year it is even bigger...Sure do miss the conversations and advise you always gave me about running the best dang tournament trail out there...Keep watching over us and keeping us safe...See you again someday "Cowboy".
