This years Gulf Coast Running Club annual scholarships for graduating HS seniors will be awarded at the upcoming Summer Beach 5K August 1 in Pass Christian. I was just reminded that I failed to include the information about it in the past club monthly newsletter. So here it is:
1. Applicants must have been a club member for at least a year.
2. Applicants must submit a resume with all their personal information such as HS and college of choice, Major of choice, any academic, social, athletic, or social accomplishments.
3. If possible a snapshot of HS grades transcript (honors).
4. Any involvement with (you or your family) with GCRC races.
5. Because of the late notice (my bad) we will forgo the essay part this year.
This information requirements must be received before the race on August 1.
Parents are encouraged to attend on race day for presentations.
