At Swimming to Survive, our mission is simple: EVERY child deserves the opportunity to learn life saving water skills, regardless of their family’s financial situation. 💙

Providing survival swim lessons for one child costs $600.

Sometimes that sponsorship comes from a generous local business. Other times, it comes from several individuals coming together to make a difference.

No matter the amount, every contribution matters. Every dollar brings another child one step closer to gaining the confidence and lifesaving skills they need around water.

100 SWIMMERS, 100 CHANCES TO SAVE A LIFE 🩵

In 2025, Swimming to Survive provided a total of 64 life saving swim scholarships to children. In March of 2026, that number was at 55 for the year.

Today, we’re celebrating a HUGE milestone! 100 local children have now received swim lesson scholarships! 🎉

That’s 100 children who are gaining confidence, learning a skill that could one day save their life, and becoming safer around the water. As for us, that number means so much more than just a number.

It shows us that Gulf Coast families understand that water safety isn’t optional…
it’s essential. 🌊

But it also shows us something else: the need for these scholarships is BIG and we don’t want a child to miss out on potentially life saving lessons simply because their family can’t afford them.

We are growing, reaching more families, and working toward growing the numbers, but we can’t do it alone.

💙 Parents: If your child needs swim lessons but cost has been a barrier, we want you to know that help is available. Don’t wait! Register your child and give them the gift of water safety.

Some gifts are so much bigger than they seem.

Because of the incredible generosity of Embrace Abilities, we get to hand out these swim goggles into the hands of some very special children in our scholarship program. 💙

Watching each child receive their own pair—one by one—is a reminder that confidence is being built through simple acts of kindness. For many of these kids, this is more than just swim gear. It’s a symbol that someone believes in them, is investing in their safety, and wants them to succeed.

One lesson can save a life.

Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4 in America. Every day, about 12 people lose their lives to drowning. Most of these tragedies are preventable through swim lessons, vigilant supervision, and water safety education.

At Swimming to Survive, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn this life-saving skill—regardless of a family’s income. Swimming isn’t just a sport. It’s survival.
