Talk about stepping up to the challenge! With only a few months of hard training under his belt, Brandon made the bold choice to commit, sign up, and step onto the competition mats at the American Grappling Federation (AGF).

It takes serious guts to put yourself out there so early in the journey, but Brandon showed exactly what grit and dedication look like. He didn't just compete—he put on a huge performance and left it all out on the mats!

Huge congratulations to Eric for absolutely tearing it up at the American Grappling Federation in Foley and taking home GOLD in the Challenger division! Wow!!!! Truly outstanding work, Eric. Your dedication and focus out there on the mats showed exactly what hard work looks like in action.

Every single time we go out to compete, I am more and more impressed with the absolute grind, heart, and effort everyone puts in. The team is constantly leveling up, and it shows.

​Charlotte started her Jiu-Jitsu journey right here with the CDJJ family. Watching her grow, learn, and showcase her skills has been an absolute privilege. While she is moving away and starting a new chapter, this is not a goodbye—it’s just the next step in her journey.

​Wherever life takes her, we truly hope she keeps stepping onto the mats and continuing the incredible work she started here. The Jiu-Jitsu community is massive, and any academy will be lucky to have her.

Gage SMASHES AGF Biloxi!

What an absolute statement for a first-time performance! Gage stepped onto the mats at AGF Biloxi and showed everyone what hard work and a CDJJ mindset look like.

Taking that first step into the competition ring is a huge milestone, but Gage didn’t just show up—he dominated. The composure, the technique, and the grit he displayed were top-tier. Watching all that drilling and sweat in the gym pay off under the lights is what it’s all about.

The future is looking dangerous! Help us congratulate Gage on an incredible debut!

Huge shoutout to David for stepping onto the mats for his first AGF tournament as a blue belt!

While we didn't come home with the "W" this time, the lessons learned were worth their weight in gold. There is a specific kind of evolution that only happens under the tournament lights, and David handled the pressure like a pro.

As coaches, we often tell our students that competition is the best mirror for your game.

Watching our team compete gives us so much insight—not just into our own personal "gaps," but into exactly where the sport of Jiu-Jitsu is headed.

We’re heading back to the lab to tighten up the technique, bridge those gaps, and keep evolving alongside the game. I hope our students feel as inspired competing as we do watching them push their limits!
