There’s something special about seeing a fish come through Live Weigh-In at the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo!🐟

This year, the Live Weigh-In featured several familiar categories sponsored by CCA Alabama, along with our new Live Tripletail category, sponsored by the The University of South Alabama Stokes School of Marine and Environmental Sciences. The new category gave researchers an opportunity to learn more about tripletail and track their movements.

And making all of that possible takes a lot of behind-the-scenes support. A huge thank you to nexAir, llc for providing the oxygen that kept the Live Weigh-In tank running throughout the Rodeo. Your support helps us continue a tradition that brings together fishing, conservation, and the community we love.

To every angler who brought a fish to the Live Weigh-In, every volunteer who kept things moving, and every partner who helped make it happen: thank you for being part of the 93rd ADSFR. 💙

The Most Unusual Category is always a fun category for our judges and anglers!🐡

We had some great entries during the Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament weekend in July. Our judges from Stokes School of Marine and Environmental Sciences and Dauphin Island Sea Lab are here to share some of the most unusual catches from the Young Anglers Tournament.

There is something special about the early evenings during Rodeo weekend. The breeze in the air, the buzz of the crowd before the concerts start, and the last rounds of weigh-ins to finish off the day.
