๐ŸŸ 43 New Artificial Reefs Deployed Off Pensacola Pass ๐ŸŒŠ

Escambia County recently deployed 43 new artificial reef locations off Pensacola Pass through the Escambia County Marine Resources Division and Walter Marine.

The project included 217 concrete modules placed across the 43 reef locations.

๐Ÿ“ Location details:
โš“ About 4.5 nautical miles from Pensacola Pass
๐Ÿงญ Bearing: 110 degrees
๐ŸŒŠ Water depth: 45โ€“55 feet

The reefs are intended to provide habitat for marine life and add new local reef sites for anglers and divers to explore.

Funding included support from Deepwater Horizon Natural Resource Damage Assessment funds and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Artificial Reef Program. One reef was privately funded in memory of Capt. Robert Edward โ€œEddieโ€ Lively.

Coordinates for the new reefs are available through Escambia Countyโ€™s Public Artificial Reefs List.
