This second opening has by far been the hardest any of us at Doug’s Hunting Lodge have ever endured, but we all pulled together and opened the camp without our precious boss, Douglas. If you have ever had the privilege of hunting with us or meeting Douglas, you know he treated everyone like family. He formed special relationships with each person he met and he met as many people as he could. His kindness and generosity has touched so many over the years and his faith has always been unwavered. The dedication and unconditional love he and his wife, Mrs. Mary, shared was a joy to witness. Douglas always led by example and challenged each person he met to be the absolute best person they could be. He was a “one of a kind” person and he will be greatly missed by all who were privileged enough to know him. Please continue to pray for the Sonnier family and friends as we navigate life’s new norm.
