Franklin Park Disc Golf Project

Franklin Park Disc Golf Project Learning more about Franklin Park and disc golf. Currently there is a temporary 18 hole course in Scarboro Woods.

The Franklin Park Disc Golf Project is an independent site aimed at promoting a permanent disc golf presence in Franklin Park. There are two efforts, first to steadily improve the current temporary course and the second is to promote the development of a world class multi-level disc golf facility in the park. Given the park houses a World Class Cross Country Course, zoo and a Donald Ross designed

ball golf course any permanent facility needs to live up to those standards. Given the woods and terrain make for a great venue we hope to be an integral part of the Franklin Park Master Plan.

We noticed there’s a new Park Commissioner in town. Our days with the old one ended poorly. Our days leading an effort are done BUT if anyone is interested in reviving the effort let us know. We could meet up some day and download the situation.

What does Quincy have the Dorchester doesn't? A take charge Parks Department being pro-active instead of reactive... Gotta love the scene at Faxon Park in Quincy. Talk is of expanding too with good results which appear to be the case at this point. Steady play and all nice folks that I've seen.
