There's just one week left to submit your entries for the 2026 OHHA Harness Racing Fantasy League!

A total of $5,000 in cash prizes is up for grabs, including a $1,500 grand prize! There will also be $500 payouts to the leading stable at the quarter, half, and three-quarter poles!

There will also be a "Beat the Experts" competition this year! Our four OHHA experts — Matt Clark, Ashley Dailey, Roger Huston, and Stephen Taylor — met some of this year's eligible horses while filming our Freshman Focus Series and will pick their own fantasy stables to compete alongside members of the public. Anyone who tops them all in the final standings will be entered into a drawing, and one lucky winner will receive two tickets to an Ohio professional sporting event!

As you pick your stable, check out this year's Freshman Focus series on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com//videos

For more information about the Fantasy League, visit https://www.ohha.com/Info/Fantasy

Entries are due June 15.

Virgil Morgan Jr. got lifetime training win No. 8,000 Saturday night (June 6) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

Morgan Jr. has been the leading trainer at Scioto for 31 years, but with horses racing at both Northfield and Scioto on Saturday night, he could have gotten the victory at either track. In the span of an hour, he won four races between the two.

Win No. 7,998 came at an 8:43 p.m. off time when Carbine and Jeremy Smith took the Open III at Scioto in 1:50.3. The very next race, win No. 7,999 came at 9:01 p.m. when Bright Bet and Cam McCown won the Open II in 1:50. Win No. 8,000 came at 9:19 p.m. when Justin Irvine guided I Did It Myway to victory in 1:50 in a NW8501L4 event. Morgan then got win No. 8,001 taking the Buckeye Distaff at Northfield with Odds On Chesapeake.

Morgan Jr. has averaged 229 wins each year over the last eight years. He currently sits second in career training wins behind Ron Burke and nearly 1,000 wins ahead of Erv Miller in third. Morgan also currently sits fifth in career training earnings with over $83.3 million, behind Burke, Jimmy Takter, Erv Miller, and Robert McIntosh.
