Dotty McGill Dance

Dotty McGill Dance DMD offers a large selection of both recreational and competitive dance classes. There are certain prerequisites for entry into some classes.

The Dotty McGill School of Dance is located in the heart of Olde Town, Grove City Pa. In 2011 we celebrated our 75th Diamond Anniversary Dance Recital at Grove City College! We strive to provide our students with the highest level of dance education in both a positive and encouraging environment. Our teachers have been certified to teach dance through both Dance Masters of America and the Cecchett

i Council of America. We believe that dance promotes self-confidence, patience, hard work, endurance, physical fitness, artistic expression, respect and the ability to accept critique gracefully. We hope that you will choose The Dotty McGill School of Dance as a place for your child to grow! We teach tap, ballet, acrobatics, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, Hip Hop, and ballroom. We recommend that students start combination classes - tap and ballet - at age 4 or 5.

As we step into a brand new year, we’re filled with gratitude for our dancers, families, faculty, and community who make our studio such a special place. Every class, every rehearsal, every leap and shuffle reminds us why we love what we do.

Here’s to another year of growth, passion, hard work, creativity, and unforgettable moments—both on and off the dance floor. We can’t wait to see how our dancers continue to shine in the year ahead.

Today was truly something special. 💛
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Biddle family — Dan, Nick, Luke, and Jenna — for allowing Dotty McGill Dance to host Melissa’s Celebration of Life in our studio.

The afternoon was filled with so much love, memory, and meaning. From the beautiful photos that captured her spirit, to her stunning antique Mercedes, to the cookies and cherished recipes that reminded us of her warmth and care — every detail reflected who Melissa was and the life she touched.

Having so many generations of the DMD family back in the studio together was incredibly moving. Past, present, and future all under one roof, sharing stories, laughter, and tears — it was a powerful reminder of the legacy Melissa built and the community she helped create.

It meant so much to have the family together in the place that holds so many memories. Today was a beautiful celebration of a remarkable woman, and we are deeply grateful to have been part of it. 🤍

Miss Melissa had a long and cherished history at Dotty McGill School of Dance. She touched the lives of so many students and families through her passion, kindness, and love of dance. We know many of you hold fond memories of her—and perhaps special photos as well.

As we prepare a photographic presentation to be shared at her Celebration of Life on December 27, we invite anyone who wishes to contribute photos of Miss Melissa to share them. Your memories will help us honor her beautiful legacy and the joy she brought to our community.
