Grand Caverns Signature 5k A bi-annual race at the historic Grand Caverns Park in Grottoes, VA. Our 5K course is certified. The 1-Mile course stays within the picturesque park.

This page is dedicated to the promotion of the Grand Caverns Signature 5K Race Series. We do offer a one-mile fun run as well during our bi-annual series. The 5K course is flat, fast and CERTIFIED! The one-mile fun run stays within the park -- perfect for walkers and/or very young participants. The "twilight start" races are held on the last Friday night in April and September. Currently all proc

eeds go towards the purchase of a new playground. We completed the nearly $20,0000 project to purchase and install outdoor fitness stations along the park's trail. The Town of Grottoes has asked us to raise $70,000 for the new playground. The current playground equipment and set are 40 years old!

UPDATE ON THE PLAYGROUND:

The Town of Grottoes, Virginia and the Grand Caverns Park are getting closer to the further development of the much-anticipated NATURAL PLAYGROUND!

We're happy to see this sign! The plans call for the playground to be open for use this Spring.

THANKS to the countless number of participants, donors, supporters and volunteers since 2012 who have supported this races series!
