As much as we love dogs here at Scarlet Hill we ask that if you are visiting for clinics, lessons, Cross Country Schooling etc. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not bring your canine companion with you! We have our own resident dogs here at the farm and we prefer not to have outside dogs on the property. THANK YOU!!!!

GROOM POSITION
Scarlet Hill Farm located in Groton Massachusetts is looking for someone to join us as a home and traveling groom. We function as a team so our groom does help occasionally with farm chores.
Duties to include but not limited to:
• Daily tack ups and care of horses in training. All aspects of grooming. Clipping, braiding, mane pulling, bathing etc.
• Care of equipment for horses in training and competition equipment. Cleaning, storing and prepping of show supplies.
• The ability to help set show jumping courses and and help in the warm-up at jumper shows.
• As needed help with turn in/turnout, and feeding
• Occasional help with barn chores: mucking stalls and standing paddocks, re-bedding stalls, general cleaning/organizing of grooming area, blowing the barn aisle, daily scrubbing and refilling of water buckets and tubs
• Arena Maintenance
• Assist with handling horses for vet or farrier visits as needed, delegated by Barn Manager
• General first aid: Cleaning minor cuts/scrapes, icing, cold hosing, packing feet, wrapping legs, taking temperatures

We compete at events, jumper shows and dressage shows. Two days off a week. Healthcare options. Competitive pay. Riding opportunities for appropriate candidate. Days off are typically Sunday and Monday unless competing. Candidate has the opportunity to also participate in the winter season in Odcala FL. Housing is provided in Ocala.
