⭐️Community Notice: Help Us Keep Our Park Beautiful and Safe⭐️
🌳This past weekend, we hosted a major baseball tournament at our park. Unfortunately, during the event, multiple play items were damaged. Our park crew works tirelessly to maintain and beautify our park, ensuring it remains a safe and enjoyable space for everyone. However, repairs and upkeep are costly and time-consuming.
🌳We need your help to keep the park safe and clean for all to enjoy. If you see someone disrespecting the park, please speak up or inform us immediately. We will also be increasing our surveillance to prevent further damage.
🌳We ask our community to join us in the effort to “Leave It Better!” We are grateful to our devoted park patrons who cherish and take care of our park. Let’s work together to maintain this beautiful space for everyone.

During these cold, winter months, it can be hard finding a place that allows you walk an indoor track or still play some of your favorite sports. The Grinnell Athletic and Recreational Center (GARC) is the place to do those activities! You can come at your own leisure on a daily basis to play on the open gym court or if you have a large group that would like to play pick up basketball or any other activity, you can reserve a court online just for you! There are multiple options here at the GARC.

The GARC will be closed for a private event starting at 12:00pm Thursday, November 2nd and will re-open at 1:00pm Saturday, November 4th. The Recreation Department office will be open 8:00am-5:00pm on Thursday, and 8:00am-4:00pm on Friday.

Passes for the 2023-2024 season are available for purchase online at Grinnell Recreation https://grinnellrec.activityreg.com/clientpage_t2.wcs or you may stop by our office on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to purchase passes. Your previously issued fob or QR code will be automatically reactivated once you purchase a new pass.

Boys and girls 3 years of age through the 6th grade are encouraged to enroll. Each participant will be placed on a co-ed team. Teams will practice once a week during the season playing six games in the fall and six games in the spring. Registration fees paid in the fall cover the cost of playing soccer in the spring, also. Volunteer coaches are needed to help coach. Please let the Recreation Department know at registration if you are willing to volunteer. Each league must have a minimum of 30 players registered to play. Participants must be 3 years of age at the start of the program to participate in U5. All other age requirements will be based on the 2022/2023 academic year.
Divisions: U5 (Age 3-PreK), U7 (Kindergarten & 1st Grade), U9 (2nd & 3rd Grade), and U12 (4th-6th Grade)

Registration Deadline: July 17
Start Date: Sept. 11
Seasons: Fall and Spring

Fee: $50.00
*Program fee does not include uniform. A Grinnell Rec Soccer Black/White reversible uniform is required. If needed, uniform fee is an additional $35.00
