There are many moments at wLW Doggy Daycare that do not need a description. The faces say it all.
We took our morning to walk through the timber trails, make our way through a small stream, sniff all of the leaves, grass, spider webs, and bugs. These are the greatest of days.

Our incredible students and their talented pups are working their tails off!
They have been putting in the work, sharpening their skills and building an unbreakable bond as they prep for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA) test.
Passing the CCA takes serious focus, patience, and teamwork. Here is a look at what these dedicated teams have been mastering:
🌎 Real-World Manners: Walking calmly through busy crowds and maneuvering tight spaces without breaking focus.
🧘‍♀️ Advanced Distance & Stay: Holding a steady stay even with major distractions nearby.
👋 Supervised Separation: Staying calm and relaxed while their handler steps out of sight.
🐕 Polite Interactions: Passing other dogs and people on leash with zero dog-to-dog reactivity.
💪🏼 Training at this level isn't just about passing a test-it's about turning good dogs into exceptional community members.

🐾🐾🐾We couldn't be prouder of the hard work, sweat, and belly rubs these handlers and pups have put into their journey so far.

What makes up Sid’s genetics?? 🧬 🧬

This is Sid. He has been part of the WLW family for several months. Sid comes to Doggy Day care, obedience classes and is working hard to become a registered therapy dog.

We love when clients do the embark, and as a class we get to guess. What do you think makes up Sid’s Breed panel?

My guess: Great Dane, border Collie, staffy, and All American 🐕

Often times we share why therapy dogs are so important, and the work that they do. Let’s hear it from another perspective. This is what Remi, Bodie, and Jax had to say:

Today was the BEST. DAY. EVER! 🐾❤️
I went to a super special event where my only job was to be the goodest boy, and honestly?! 🐾🐾🐾killed it.
Here is my official recap of the day:
🤗 The Hugs: 10/10. I got squeezed so many times, and every single one felt like a warm hug for my soul. (I think I gave pretty good hugs back, too.)

🫶🏻The Pets: Endless! Head scratches, ear rubs, belly pats-you name it, I received it. My fur has never felt so soft or so loved.

🗣️The Sweet Talk: Humans said the nicest things to me today. I heard "Who's a good boy?" about a hundred times. Spoiler: It's me. I am the good boy.

😃 The Smiles: Everywhere I looked, people were smiling! My favorite part was watching someone's face light up the second they reached out to pet me. Tail-wagging magic right there.
👬The New Friends: I made about fifty new best friends today. We didn't even need words-just eye contact, a gentle nudge of my nose, and instant friendship.
❤️My heart is completely full (and my tail is officially exhausted). Being a therapy dog is hard work, but seeing everyone so happy makes every single belly rub worth it.
