We have an extra special coaches spotlight today! 🏐🌺

Coach Brian: who coaches both 14 and 17 Regionals, played 15 years as a club player in his youth. His coaching career consists of 2 years as a junior high coach, 3 years as a highschool coach and 21 years as a club coach! Brian is also a club director for Ohana!

Coach Julianne: Coaches 17 Regionals, started playing volleyball when she was 8 and played school and club up until the end of her highschool career. In college, she continued to play recreationally and even won the intramurals championship! She’s been coaching for two years here at Ohana!

Coach Paige: who coaches 14 Regionals started playing volleyball in 5th grade all the way up to her junior year of high school. She played her whole career as a setter and has been a great addition to the Ohana family!

Thank you to each coach who put a lot of hard work and dedication to their team!!

We had some GRETA work done to start off our Spring Break season!! Check out below how some of our teams did!

✨11U placed 4th in Hiawatha Saturday with much technical improvement from the team
🥇12 Green took first in gold at the 1-80s tournament in Bondurant
✨16 National worked hard with a new lineup, missing players and still came out improving from last time!
🥇16 Boys took first place at the Boys Battle Royale!
🥈18 Boys went 5-1 and placed first in silver bracket

What an incredibly hard working weekend for our Ohana Family! 🤙🏾🌺

🥉12 Black placed third in gold in Ankeny at their first ever Spike Fest
✨13 Nationals fought hard against 14s teams in a 13/14s tournament in West Des Moines
✨14 Regionals took fourth at Coe College
🥇14 Nationals took first in gold at home
✨15 Regionals placed top 8 at Ankenys first ever Spike Fest in the 15/16 tournament
🥉16 Nationals tied for third at home
🥉16 Regionals tied for third at home
🥉17 Regionals tied for third at home

Say hello to our 13 Regionals coaches!!

Coach Danielle: has played volleyball since she was 10 years old all the way up to club in college as a DS/Libero. Danielle has coached for a few years in Texas while also playing sand doubles. This is her first year coaching at Ohana!

Coach Haily: is from right here in Grimes, Iowa! Haily played at Dallas-Center Grimes school district growing up and is an Ohana Alum! She has been coaching for two years previously but this is her first year at Ohana!

Taking it back to the 11s!

Coach Kathy: has played volleyball for over 30 years and ended her career at the collegiate level. Shes been a coach for 10 years total with this season being the 4th at Ohana! Kathy loves to spend her free time with family and of course watching and cheering on the Iowa state cyclones volleyball team!

Coach Lexi: played volleyball in highschool and is currently a coach here at Ohana as well as at Dallas Center Grimes School District! Lexi also has experience with coaching many ages with the Woodward Granger School District! This is Lexi’s first year at Ohana and she is excited to see the growth and development of each of her players throughout the season!

Thank you both for your dedication in building the skills of our youngest team!

🥈12 U Boys placed first in the silver bracket
🥇12 U Black tied for third in the gold bracket
🥇13 Nationals went 10-0 for gold in the championship bracket
🥈14 Nationals got second in the gold bracket

🥈15 Regionals took second in the gold bracket in Hiawatha

Our next coaches: 13 Nationals!!

Coach Bailey: started playing volleyball when she was about 12 as a setter all the way up until 17s when she switched to back row as a DS/Libero. This is Bailey’s third year coaching!

Coach Marissa: started playing volleyball when she was 9 and fell in love with it ever since! Marissa played setter for almost the whole 8 years she played in club as well as school ball! She helped her school team make it to state her junior year!

Thank you both for the tremendous amount of work you put into your team and into Ohana! 🌺

✨11U had a great learning experience during their weekend at both Ohana and RecPlex! They also celebrated Coach Kathy’s birthday!
🥇13 National took gold today at home
🥈14 National took first in the silver bracket at Impact
🥇15 Regionals took home gold at home
🥈15 Nationals took second in the gold bracket at the Mayhem Tournament at Plex
🥈16 Regionals took second in the gold bracket at home
🥇16 Nationals took first in the gold bracket at home
🥇16 Nationals Boys took FIRST at the Boys Midwest Regional Championships!!
🥉18 Nationals Boys took 5th in the gold bracket at the Boys Midwest Regional Championships.
