Just a couple of guys laying down mature whitetails in Pike County, Illinois. We strive to improve the habitat and land that we are fortunate to hunt. The land that we manage/hunt is all family owned and operated which gives us great potential for success. We capture and document our time in the field to benefit our viewers and fans and help improve everyones hunting tactics. Stay up to date with

Congrats Isaac Whitaker! Ike got the job done Saturday night of Illinois Muzzleloader Season. He was able to harvest this 163 3/8 inch, 5.5 year old buck.

The hunt for Iceman...

Friday, November 13th at 2:31 p.m. the hunt for Iceman came to an end.

Going back many years, our good friends Farmland Trophies would post numerous pictures of a stud of a deer they had named “Iceman”.

Fast forward to spring of 2020, Skyler sets his sights on the old monarch.

Going into the season countless hours were spent preparing for Iceman on their new farm. Foodplots, timber stand improvements, prescribed burns, planting acres of native grasses, running a strategic pattern of trail cameras and the list goes on and on. To sum things up, Skyler eats, sleeps and breaths whitetails 24/7/365, the true mad man in Pike County.

Leading up to November 13th, Skyler had a few brief encounters with Iceman and he knew he was close to getting his shot.

Sneaking in early, everything was perfect. Friday the 13th is going off without a hitch. Once in the stand, things begin to unravel, no beanie, no gloves, dropping his only release, things aren’t going as planned. Finally settled in, while enjoying a turkey sandwich, something catches his eye. A mature doe closely followed by the Iceman. As he’s working his way in, which seems to to be taking forever, Skyler thinks what not a better time to call his friend Aaron. As he dials him up, and informs him of his current situation no better words are spoke than “shoot him”.

41 yards. One shooting lane. One deer. One goal. Let’s go.

As the arrow hits its mark, the legend of Iceman has come to an end just a few yards from the tree stand!

Congrats to Wyatt Bradshaw! Wyatt harvested this deer Thursday morning. We’ve watched this deer grow over the past few years. He blew up this year and was on top of Wyatts hit list.
