Attention Hunters
This is from GA Dept. of Natural Resources,
Waterfowl Hunters: Changes to Federal Duck Stamp Program
Dear Hunter -
As we look towards the 2024-2025 migratory bird hunting season, we wanted to let you know about the changes to the Federal Duck Stamp hunting license due to the Federal Duck Stamp Modernization Act of 2023.
A physical Federal Duck Stamp is no longer required to hunt as the electronic Federal Duck Stamp, or e-stamp, is now a legal seasonal license valid between July 1 and June 30 of the following year.
MORE INFORMATION
Where Can I Purchase the e-stamp? Beginning July 1, 2024, the Federal Duck e-stamp will be available for purchase at GoOutdoorsGeorgia.com. The e-stamp will be $27 July 1-31, 2024 and then $29 beginning Aug. 1, 2024.
How do I prove I have the e-stamp? If you need to show your e-stamp license, it can be viewed on the Go Outdoors Georgia app or on a physical license printout (or hard card license).
But, I want the physical duck stamp! No problem, you will receive a physical copy of the Federal Duck Stamp after March 10 following your e-stamp purchase. It will be mailed to the address on file in your GoOutdoorsGeorgia.com customer account, so make sure that address is up-to-date.
What if I want additional copies of the physical duck stamp? If desired, you can purchase physical Federal Duck Stamps at locations such as the U.S. Post Office or at https://duckstamp.com/products/.
What licenses do I need to hunt waterfowl in Georgia? All persons age 16 years and older must have a Federal Duck Stamp (e-stamp or physical), Georgia Migratory Bird License and a Hunting License.
