Ole Mill Range Complex The Ole Mill Range Complex, a 52-Position 10-meter (10M) airgun range Additionally, 14 positions support dual use in air rifle and (10 m), 50 foot smallbore.

The Ole Mill Range Complex is conveniently located across from the Griffin UPS sorting facility at 129 North Searcy Avenue (on the corner of Broadway St and North Searcy Avenue), 8/10 of a mile east of The Griffin Visitors Center, in Griffin, GA. The Ole Mill Range Complex, a 50 Position 10-meter (10 m) airgun range, provides opportunities for young athletes to compete and prepare for national lev

el competition, collegiate scholarships and Olympic aspirations. OMRC has 10 individual (50 m) lanes which brings the facility into only a handful of such facilities in the entire nation. The 10 m range conforms to International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) specifications for target height and distance, and features individual target lighting that conforms to ISSF specifications for range illumination. The range facility operates with similar safety rules and procedures as other competition fi****ms ranges. Airguns are required to be cased and uncased at the firing-line only.

Rifle Coach Level 1 Certification Course - 03-04 Jan 2026

A Rifle Coach Level 1 course is being conducted Sat-Sun 03-04 2026 at Griffin Gun Club in Griffin, GA.

This is an excellent opportunity for coaches to expand their knowledge and interact with other coaches.

JROTC instructors should inquire to see if they may be placed on orders and have the training and travel covered.

Rifle coaches are trained and certified through a joint program involving USA Shooting (USAS - Olympic governing body), Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), and the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Instructors

COL (Ret) Kevin Mangan and Coach JP O'Connor are members of the National Coach Development Staff (NCDS). COL Mangan runs an excellent JROTC program and rifle team in South Carolina and has coached at the collegiate level. Coach O'Connor has been training advanced and elite athletes for 30 years, and has over 60 articles published by USA Shooting. Both coaches bring a wealth of practical knowledge and experience to the course.

Cost

Cost of the course is subsidized by a grant from the MidwayUSA foundation and is only $150 per coach. (Most courses are between $350 to $600.)
